Overseeing and coordinating the Expediting efforts of the five (5) Engineering, Procurement and Construction firms commissioned by Husky Oil for this 1.3B Project. Areas covered were all major equipment, instrumentation, electrical and bulk materials.
Approving, delegating and coordinating source Expediting assignments throughout North America and Europe to ensure maximum expediting coverage for all materials.
These efforts required extensive coordination and organization of approximately 20 source Expeditors in addition to the overall activities of the individual EPC Expeditor's.
Responsible for the leadership and direction of Husky's
"in-house" Expeditors to ensure timely delivery of the bulk materials purchased directly by Husky. Responsible for the maintenance and issuance of the overall Material Status Report to the Client.
Required to attend regular progress meetings with the 5
EPC's to regulate and maintain optimum efficiency in their expediting efforts. Attended status meetings with the Client.
Frequent vendor shop visits were conducted throughout North America where deemed necessary to ensure that critical delivery paths were recognized and maintained, requiring strong negotiation of significant priority levels.
The Final 14 months of my assignment were at the construction site. My prime focus was to ensure maximum availability of "fast track" materials on a priority basis to support construction schedules. Regular meetings with Plant Managers and Contractor's were required. Other responsibilities included warehousing and requisitioning materials.
