Accomplished Research Scientist in Analytical/Environmental Chemistry, currently acting as Chief Executive of a Chemical Manufacturing Company (Midas Chemical Industries Limited, manufacturing glacial acetic acid). Now searching for a senior academic position or a leadership position in a research environment.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE: Research Scientist in Environmental Sciences Department of Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR). Responsibilities included identification and development of research ideas concerned with the different environmental issues in Kuwait, preparation of project proposal documents to be submitted to the funding agencies, execution of the approved projects, and participation in other projects for the assigned tasks. Supervise the analytical work for the different projects. Carry out R&D work with a view to improving the existing analytical methodologies and instrumentation. Train the staff for latest analytical methodologies.

Quality Controller of a multinational pharmaceutical company (Glaxo Laboratories (Pakistan). Responsible for testing and sentencing of raw materials, intermediates and finished products of primary and secondary pharmaceuticals. Also responsible for the management of Quality Control Department's budget, facilities, instrumentation and manpower. Additional responsibilities included were environmental and occupational health monitoring.

Head Chromatography Section of Central Analytical Laboratory of KISR. Responsible for the management of the sections, scientific output, analytical services and method development as well as career development of the staff. Developed and conducted several training workshops for instrumental chromatographic techniques.

Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in Chemistry Department of Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana, USA. Carried out research on US government funded research project on chemical composition of marijuana and tobacco smoke condensate.

Lecturer in Chemistry at University College of Engineering, Taxilla, Pakistan. Taught chemistry courses to engineering (electrical, mechanical and civil) students.

Twenty-three years experience in research and development in food, petroleum and environmental analysis. Developed, led and participated in many research projects.
