Thome Offshore Management is a division of Thome Ship Management venturing in O&M contracts for FPSO. I am bidding for new projects and trouble shooting the technical issues in one of their managed FPSO.

Prosafe Production Services is engaged in the field of FPSO (Floating Production, Storage and Offloading), FSO (Floating Storage and Offloading), Cargo tankers, design and engineering of FPSO and FSO conversions. I have served in various positions in this company

1999 – 2001 Off shore Installation Manager of FPSO Petroleo Nautipa in Angola

Client – Ranger oil UK ( Now known as Canadian Natural Resources)

Responsible for the safety and smooth operation of the total installation.

Responsible for smooth running and trouble shooting on Process to avoid downtime and have maximum capacity utilisation.

Co ordination with the Client regarding day to day operations on the installation.

Co ordination with Prosafe representative and agent at Luanda to ensure the logistics for the installation.

Responsible for Health, Safety & Environment of all the personal on board and the installation.

Emergency response and evacuations.

Liase with class authorities to get the vessel status.

Provide technical support to all the departments on the installation.

Operate the installation well under budgeted figures.

Responsible for the all the modifications on the process side undertaken in Keppel.

Follow up the activities in Shipyard and perform under budget

Sail the FPSO, Commission and produce first oil on target date.

Ensure close out of all pending project activities and hand over to OIM for regular operation

2002 – Nov 2006 Superintendent FPSO

Responsible for the operation of 2 FPSO and 1 FSO.

Preparation of yearly Budgets for these installations.

Liase with clients for technical and commercial issues.

Member of the bidding team and responsible for OPEX proposals for new projects.

1997 -1999

HITECH DRILLING SERVICES LTD. (Now ABAN )
Hitech is one of the TATA group of companies engaged in the profession of off shore drilling and off shore floating production facility (TAHARA). The FPU (floating production unit) is a semi-submersible rig located at PY3 field with a production facility of around 20000 bbls per day of crude oil processing along with a floating storage & offloading (FSO) facility catered by a regular tanker permanently stationed near by for storing and off loading the produced crude. The wells are owned by the consortium companies Tata Petrodyne, ONGC, HOEC, and Hardy oil in which Hardy oil is the operator of the field. The production facility is owned by Hitech and is responsible for the production, storage & off loading of the crude.

Off shore Installation Manger

Total in charge of FPU & FSO operations.
Responsible for oil production and safe operation of the platform
Co-ordination of process & marine activities relating to FPU and FSO.
Responsible for achieving the highest safety standards in line with international safety procedures.
Responsible for safety audit surveys, class surveys etc. which are carried out regularly for acceptance and approval of the platform
Co-ordination of day to day activities with the FSO tanker for transfer, storage and off loading operations.
Co-ordination with Hitech and Hardy base offices for material, logistics and day to day activities.
Technical co-ordinator and in charge for commissioning 750 KW Gas generator utilising the flare gas.

1995 March to 1997 June

AL-JUBAIL FERTILIZER COMPANY (SAMAD). SAUDI ARABIA.

SAMAD is one of the largest complexes in Saudi Arabia engaged in the manufacture of fertilisers and petrochemicals. Production facilities include 1000 MT / day of Ammonia based on M/S Kellog process, 1600 MT / day Urea based on M/S Stamicarbon process, 450 MT / day of 2 Ethyl Hexanol (2EH) and 150 MT / day of Di-Octyl Phtalate. Additional facilities include Water treatment plants and Utility Boilers.

Process & Production Advisor

Responsible for process engineering activities of Fertliser complex and 450 MT / Day 2 Ethyl Hexanol plants and production engineering activities of all the plants.

Preparation of annual budget and providing technical assistance to finance department for assessing the financial analysis of finished products.

Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation Ltd. (SPIC) is one of the largest complexes in India engaged in the manufacture of fertilisers. Production facilities include 1100 MT / day of Ammonia based on ICI process, 1600 MT / day Urea based on TEC process, 470 MT / day of Sulfuric Acid, 165 MT / day of Phosphoric Acid and 1000 MT / Day of DAP. Responsible for the total process engineering activities of SPIC complex.

Modernising urea & utility plants, ammonia plant with DDCS system.

Responsible for submission of technical data to Ministry of Fertiliser (FICC) for subsidy/ pricing.

Responsible for process engineering activities of Ammonia, Urea & Utility plants.

1983 – 1989 Operation Engineer / Senior Operation Engineer

Shift Supervisor for 1100 MT / Day Ammonia plant and 1600 MT / Day Urea plant. Responsible for smooth and safe operation of the plant.

Fully Conversant with start up / shut down procedures, operation of high pressure equipment / pumps & compressors and annual turn around activities.

Duties involve day to day co-ordination with maintenance and other departments for efficient running of the plant, routine turn around jobs, trip analysis and suggestions / procedures to avoid recurrence and training of operational staff.
