I am responsible for providing a high level of Technical support in all aspects of the operation on this specific contract. I ensure that the highest standards of quality assurance are in place by maintaining a vessel audit programme and other monitoring systems. Provide on-going advice, consultancy and technical support to project management teams, ensure that all equipment on all vessels is performing in accordance with set procedures, reviewing, developing and modifying these procedures on a continuous- improvement basis, recognizing that in all aspects of the operations, safety is paramount.
I am fully familiar with both QA and ISM auditing procedures, customer focused and with excellent communication skills, a strong team player with proven leadership experience.
1999 - 31.03.2003 Gulf Offshore N S Ltd
Master
I was Master on the UT755 Monarch Bay, which was operating in Malabo Equatorial Guinea for two years, on charter to Exxon Mobil; During this time and due to the remote location of operations I had immense personal satisfaction of looking after the company's interests both logistically and operationally in sometimes difficult conditions. On completion of the contract I sailed the vessel back to the UK to begin operations on the spot market in Aberdeen. I have also worked in the North Sea with Gulf on the pipe-carrying vessel Highland Champion supporting the pipe lay barge Seamac 1 and the Lorelay from bases in Denmark, Norway and UK. I was also Master of Mercury Bay another UT755 operating in the UK sector of the North Sea on various contracts.

1997 – 1999. Tidewater Marine Ltd
Master
I was employed by Tidewater on their anchor handling and platform supply vessels operating in the North Sea and West Africa. During my employment with Tidewater I had a three month secondment period in their Aberdeen office, which involved being part of the recruitment team which I thoroughly enjoyed gaining valuable experience in office management.

1996 De-Beers Marine/ Octo Marine
Navigating Officer/Master
I had a six-month contract with De-Beers in South Africa on their survey and diamond dredging vessels, which involved the laying of three and four point mooring systems. I also had a two month contract with Octo Marine in South Africa which also involved laying four point mooring systems as well as survey work in West African waters.

This vessel was operating in the Warri/Escravos area of Nigeria, due to the vessels remote location there was a particular personal onus on myself as Company Representative to ensure that the Client / Company relationship was maintained to the highest possible standard and that the safety and operations of crew and vessel remained uncompromised even under difficult logistical conditions.

1987 – 1994 OIL Marine Ltd

During this period I was involved in all aspects of the Offshore industry in the North Sea, Gulf of Mexico, West Africa and South Africa. This includes working upon anchor handling tug supply vessels, platform support vessels, crewboats, seismic and stand by duties.
I am thoroughly familiar with most aspects of towing and anchor handling for semi-submersibles, jack-ups and barges under all types of conditions.
I have also served on ferries running between ports in the UK and on coasters plying between ports in Europe. Three-year tour of duty with the Royal Fleet Auxiliary as a Tactical Radio Operator and prior to this sailed "deep sea" on general cargo ships. I am fully conversant with legal and safety regulations in the marine industry.
