„« Expedite Design, QA / QC, Safety, Administration & Finance Departments for timely submission of their related Documents. Motivate Procurement Department for purchasing of Materials in time.
„« Get approval from Clients for replacement of unavailable Materials in the local Market.
„« Conduct meetings with clients, discuss progress & take remedial actions.
„« Develop Work Breakdown Structures & Schedules in correlation with the Budget. Review all reports & tracking documents to include Budgets, Cash Flow, Accruals, Revenue, Monthly Flash / Invoicing status & other related project planning & control documentation.
„« Prepare, coordinate, & monitor cost control procedures & other cost related issues for projects. Ensure that all relevant budgets & costs incurred are to be made available with responsible personnel. Monitor cost variance on the basis of Budgeted Costs for different items or Cost Centers. Check the Project Resources Costs against allocated Budget & initiate action if exceeds the Budget.
„« Crosscheck the Estimate for Additional jobs. Verify with Project Team members about any additional claims & advise Clients accordingly. Coordinate with Clients for the approval of Additional Jobs, Changes, Modifications, etc.
„« Interface with the project technical staff to define scope of work, need for change to budgets & schedules & identification of variances from the original plan. Managing & maximizing the project profit margins.
„« Review daily reports & material delivery notes prepared by Planning & sub-contractor, to retrieve relevant information in connection with costing. Check the project resources costs against allocated budget & initiate action if exceeds the budget. Prepare & present periodic cost control reports to the GM & Project Team.
„« Issue Work Completion Certificates, evaluate & recommend payment for Invoices of Sub-Contractors.
„« Instruct Finance Department to raise Invoices as per Contract terms & conditions. Crosscheck final account prior to payment by Client. Review the Final & comprehensive Project close out report.
„« Recommend adequate appraisals of the staff & workers aptly per the adept.
Achievements:
i) Reduce the duration / cost of Project by proper monitoring of the hired heavy lift cranes.
ii) Prepare adjustable Cages for Overhauled PSV's to keep them in upward straight position.
iii) Fabricate adjustable Fixtures for the heavy Motor Operated Valves (17 Tons in Weight), to keep them in leveled and aligned position during Overhauling, Calibration & Testing.
iv) Accomplish successfully the Welding of Nickel Ducts without purging of Argon Gas.
v) Successfully completed the Turnaround by 61 Hours ahead of schedule by adopting latest technology i.e. by using Pneumatically operated Pipe Cutting / Beveling Machines.
vi) Saved cost by optimizing the use of Bundle Puller during Turnaround.
vii) Modified the Submerged Arc Welding Machine for welding of heavy wall thickness (75 mm) Flanges / Pipes and reduced more than 75% of welding time & cost.
viii) Modified the Submerged Arc Welding Machine for Strip Cladding and more than 80% of Overlay time & cost had been reduced on heavy Blinds, Nozzles etc.
ix) Reduced the repair ratio of Air Cups in Oxy Reactor by suggesting client to reduce the height of Nozzles.
x) Increased the profit margin of Project by using alternate material after getting clients approval.

2. Organization: SUEDROHRBAU Saudi Arabia Ltd. - Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
Position: Incharge Planning, Schedule & Estimation Department
From: Jan-1993 ~ Sep-1994
A German based Pipeline Construction Company, working for Saudi Aramco at Hotat Bani Tamim oil field. About 450 km of Pipe Lines (Well Head, Flow Lines, Trunk Lines & Water Lines) of various sizes were constructed. Main responsibilities included:

„« Review the Plan & Schedule of the Project considering Materials availability & completion dates of the Project.
„« Monitor Progress of the Project by preparing Daily, Weekly & Monthly Progress Reports.
„« Coordinate with Client (Saudi Aramco) for the Additional Jobs, Changes / Modifications in the Design / Drawings & Routings of Pipelines.
„« Review & maintain all correspondence relating to Project. Assure proper documentation of all certificates & maintain file of the projects.

„« Organize Daily meeting with core team of the Project to discuss the progress & take remedial actions.

Worked for Denmark based company (F.L.SMIDTH AND CO.) on 7000 Tons of Fabrication & Installation work for 3000 TPD, AC WAH Cement Plant in Pakistan. I handled more than 325 Work Orders out of 530 with a group of 17 Sub-Engineers for collecting Data and Progress Monitoring. Main responsibilities as a Planning Engineer were:
