Hello.
With over 25 years experience in all facets of the Electrical Industry working in the United States and abroad I have gained a keen understanding of the Electrical Trade.
For the past 15 years I have had the opportunity to work as an Electrical Supervisor on multiple projects that vary in cost up to $12 M in the Electrical side alone.
I started out in the industry in 1978, working as an apprentice for multiple electrical contractors at places like Dow and Monsanto Chemical. When I became a journeyman electrician I went on to projects in the pulp and paper industry, Petrochemical projects for Exxon, Texaco and Mobile, these projects included both refining and gasification installations. I have had opportunity to work on Coal fire, Nuclear, solar and geothermal power house of various sizes and types. I have a half dozen or so years working in the Hi-Tech and Dot com industries as an Electrician or an Electrical Supervisor. So in the process and over the years I have become a well rounded Electrical Supervisor for any project that I pursue.
I have had the pleasure in managing up to 10 General Foreman and 60 Foreman with a combined personnel load totaling up to 300 Electricians. Working on various High-Tech, Industrial, Petro-Chem, Civil and Power projects. Tracking job progress and labor cost. Interfacing with multiple craft Site Superintendents, including the customer. To ensure current project up-dates and Status Reports.
I have logged numerous hours of continuing education in the trade. This education varies from simple OSHA 500 courses, Diversity and First Aid courses to complex management skill courses. This training enables me to keep up not only with the Electrical Industry Standards to keep my electrical licenses valid but keeps me in tune with communication skills that an Electrical Supervisor needs to possess in today's global market.
The past 3 plus years I have been in Iraq working as and Independent Electrical Contractor/Consultant. Previous projects here in Iraq consisted of working with the Fluor Electrical Engineer, supervising and quality control of local Nationals installing the 11 Kv power infrastructure network at Camp Taji. (Camp Cooke). I also had the opportunity to install the Fiber backbone network on the same base. I worked alongside the United States military on both projects.
For the past two years my projects in Iraq as a contractor include providing Electrical services for a major telecom company, providing camp support for two man camps located in the BIAP/ Victory area, combined with working on State Department projects through out the whole country, as well as the Baghdad area.
While over in Iraq as an Electrical Contractor, my daily rate is $800 per day 7 days a week. I was provided with a round trip business flight and a 30 day unpaid R&R every 90 days or as project scheduling will allow. Considering the right project and contract Package I am open to all offers. With over 25 years experience in the Civil, Power, Mining, Petrochemical Commercial and High-Tech Divisions of the electrical industry, complimented with a working knowledge of the National Electric Code to perform Journeyman level work in a craftsman like manner.
* Extensive experience in all stages of electrical construction methods and electrical installations. As a Supervisor or an electrician. From ground grids and underground conduits to the above ground layout of conduits, cable raceways, fabrication and installation of Electrical systems and service equipment. Utilizing various voltage's from: 4-20 milliamp instrumentation to 220 Kv sub-stations and inner-connect facilities.
* Experience in the Start-up and Commissioning of a project. Responsibilities include: Document control, Megger reports, and loop check Reports, System analysis and completion reports. Client turn - over reports. While always working with the Client, Vendor and or Factory representative in the U.S. and abroad for the management and productivity of personnel and equipment, maintaining safety and quality a number one objective.
* Extensive experience in regards to safety, that all personnel take the prominent role on a project.
* As an Electrical Supervisor providing detailed daily progress reports to the Client. Having to interface with various Other Craft Supervisors to provide accountability and acceptance for project dead lines and Completion Turn-Over Packages. Experience with tracking time and labor cost, Managing personnel, ordering tools, materials and equipment. Scheduling man power task to keep the project on time and on budget.
* Extensive experience in the installation, termination, troubleshooting and maintenance of specialty A. C. voltage systems, both utility power and diesel generator supplied power comprising of Voltages from 11kv, 5kv, 2.3 kV power distribution centers to 480 volt Motor control centers. Variable frequency drives and emergency stand by Generators.
* D.C. voltage systems such as: Variable speed drives, uninterrupted power sources (battery and diesel Generated supply).
* Programmable Logic Control Systems such as: Allen Bradley, Baily, Fisher, Modicon, Siemens, and Texas Instruments.
* Past experience in the calibration, testing and loop checking of Instrumentation and controls for a project.
* Experience in working with the United States Military, operating in Central Asia and in the Middle East. Working on multiple State Department Communication projects, Logcap and Afcap Force protection projects. Providing electrical services and support from 11kv thru 220 volt systems. Providing a better quality of life for our Armed Forces deployed in overseas operations.
* Experience in working with and directing Expats, Third Country Nationals and Local Nationals in the installation and repair of these electrical services.
Previous Projects;
* 2007- 3/2005.
Company: MCI/ Verizon.
Primary task as Senior Electrician was to install and maintain over 30 Cellular Sites comprising of 2 different government contracts through out the whole of Iraq and all of Baghdad. Secondary task was to build and provide MEP services for two man camps located in the Victory/Biap area.
* 4/2005-4/2004.
Company: RMS.
Primary task was to build and maintain 11Kv power infrastructure for Camp Cook Iraq. Work comprised of the installation of eight 1.2 Meg diesel 11 Kv generators Control and Sub-Station, Overhead transmission lines and 11Kv – 400 volt ring mains.
Secondary task was to provide electrical services Base wide comprising of voltages from 400 volt – ¼ milliamps.
* 4/2004-4/2002.
Company: Electrix.
Primary task as an Electrical Supervisor was to manage up to 40 Electricians for ongoing 2 million dollar capital projects for a major pulp and paper mill located in Camas Washington.
* 4/2002-4/2000.
Company: Kelly Electric.
Primary task as an Electrical Supervisor was to manage up to 80 Electricians for various projects including a major paper and pulp mill located in Lake Oswego Oregon and a major Aluminum Smelter located in Dalles Oregon.
* 4/2000- 6/1979. Multiple projects as an Electrical Supervisor and as an Electrician serving the Power, Civil, Petrochemical, High- Tech and Commercial Industries.
