Responsibilities
* Responsible for implementing the procurement procedures, receipt of LPR/WSO, issue of enquiries, supplier qualification, LPO/WSO placement, tracking, reporting, and closeout of LPO/WSO.
* Provide directions and necessary guidance to buyers, incorporate milestones in procurement activities.
* Responsible for selection/qualification of vendors using the recommended equipment fabricators and manufacturers list, pre-qualification of vendors using a supplier qualification questionnaire, obtain information about technical and financial capabilities and ability to meet the QA requirements.
* Visit manufacturing facilities to verify ability to meet the critical milestones, strict conformance to delivery schedules, internal controls etc.
* Scheduling the procurement activities such as issue of RFQs, receipt and evaluation of bids, purchase order placement, delivery of materials etc.
* Coordination with enduser, engineering and finance departments for selection of successful bidder based on adherence to technical, QA, safety and commercial requirements.
* Establish an expediting schedule considering the criticality of the requirement and performance of suppliers.
* Supervise logistics operations to ensure freight forwarder takes necessary action to rout equipments and materials by most cost effective means available ensuring compliance with project schedule and timely and safe delivery.
* Lead the expediting activities that includes, monitoring performance of vendors, issue expediting report, highlight potential problems and achievement of important milestones, recording and making available of expediting data to concerned.
* Responsible for processing request for amendments, obtain necessary approvals, issue revision/amendment to LPOs/WSOs.
* Generate necessary reports on procurement requests received, procurement activities, purchase orders, delivery information etc.
