Job & Responsibility

Estimator: (Batam Fabrication Yard) (Daily job and responsibility): J. Ray McDermott Indonesia, Batam,

Report to Estimating Manager
Responsible for:
- Preparing and reviewing estimate all discipline for unit rate or lump sum bid projects. Provide inputs and all related technical information to procurement, scheduling and yard support (material take off and construction engineering).
- Reviewing all subcontractor cost input and RFQ documentation received.
- Monitoring and evaluating manhours expenditure in the Fabrication Yard
- Identifying and assisting in resolving any adverse trends with coordination with Supervisor.
- Preparing and breakdown fabrication cost, material, labor, subcontract into client bid price format.
- Providing all required Estimating based on Material Take-Off to relevant departments for projects in progress in the Fabrication Yard
- Providing and Maintaining control of all fabrication project job numbers and sub functions issued and utilized within the Fabrication Yard
- Ensuring that project history files are maintained and updated for completed fabrication projects.
- Prepare Table of Rates in accordance to the preamble, method of measurement.
- Prepare recap man-hours of completed project for review, study and address problems to improve productivity of future projects.

Major Bid project involved:
* Unocal Thailand North Pailin Development Project – Phase II (2001) consists of:
- Topsides defined as: Bridge (270 ST), Cooler Module (270 ST), Module Support Frame – MSF (2,487 ST), East Module (2,128 ST), & West Module (1,803 ST).
* Phillips – Bayu Undan Gas Recycle Project (2001) consists of:
- 8 legs DPP ( Drilling Process & Production ) Jacket (11,256 MT) and 8 legs CUQ ( Compression Utilities & Quarter ) Jacket (10,786 MT)
- Flare Tripod (789 MT)
- Connecting Bridge between DPP and CUQ (416 MT) and Flare Bridge (1,905 MT).
* Conoco Indonesia Inc. – Belanak FPSO (2001) consists of 14 modules, 3 pipe racks, 2 riser porches, and 1 flare boom, with total weight is 24,535 MT.
* Japan Vietnam Petroleum Company – Rangdong Field Development (2002) consists of:
- NCWI Deck (2,552 MT) and NULQ Deck (1,779 MT)
* Conoco Indonesia Inc. – Belanak Wellhead Platforms WHP-A & WHP-B (2001) consists of:

Piping and Mechanical Estimator/Quantity Surveyor: (live Project Assignment) (Batam Fabrication Yard): J. Ray McDermott Indonesia, Batam,
Report to Estimating Manager/Project Cost Control
Responsible for:
- Providing all required Estimating based on Material Take-Off to relevant departments for projects in progress in the Fabrication Yard
- Providing and Maintaining control of all fabrication project job numbers and sub functions issued and utilized within the Fabrication Yard
- Ensuring that project history files are maintained and updated for completed fabrication projects.
- Providing Weight Control Report complete with Center of Gravity for piping project in progress in the Fabrication Yard.
- Prepare estimate man-hours and BOM.
- Prepare data related to table of rates in accordance to the preamble, method of measurement.
- Perform Quantity Surveyor work, checking and verifying site measurement and accordance to Table of Rates.
- Prepare estimate man-hours & MTO for all Change Order works.
- Prepare recap man-hours and BOM of completed project for review, study and address problems to improve productivity of future projects.
