HSE ADVISOR -– Zamzama Gas Plant
Presently working with BHP Billiton Petroleum Pakistan at Zamzama Gas Plant and following are the responsibilities;

* Provide guidance, assistance and support to all Pakistan Asset Team members in all HSE related topics such as Safety, Occupational Health, HSE Policies and Procedures, Budget Preparation, Environmental Protection, Quality (QA/QC) Management, Risk Management, Crisis Management, Accident / Incident Investigation, HSE training and competency, HSE assessment and improvement, operation and maintenance, HSE Communication, HSE-in-design (as per ASME/ANSI/NAFPA/ISO codes), hazardous area classification layouts, Hazardous Material Management (IATA), Waste Management, construction and contractor management.
* Advise on processes involving the design & operations of facilities to ensure safety and minimize risk from the environmental, health and safety perspective.
* Participates in the selection & quality assessment (as ISO / ASME / NFPA/ ANSI Standards) of equipment and materials. Assesses process safety, ECR (Engineering Change Control) and risk involved to determine if impact meets or exceeds Divisional policies and standards. Recommends purchase, selection or modifications accordingly.
* Provision of specialist advice on safety engineering services i.e. HAZOP, HAZAN, HAZID, JSA (Job Safety Analysis) / TRA (Task Risk Assessment), What-if / Checklist, Safety (HSE) Case, Case to Operate and QRA (Qualitative / Quantative Risk Assessment).
* Assist and advise in the producing, and monitoring of HSE plans for ZGP (Zamzama Gas Plant) especially Occupational Health and Hygiene issues (Noise, Ergonomics, chemical Handling, VOC (Volatile Organic Compound), Airborne Containments monitoring, physical hazards such as manual handling etc.
* Provide support and direction to HSE co-ordinators working within Zamzama Field Development (eg. Drilling, Projects etc.)
* Monitor and participate in audit (PTW Audits)/ Site Safety Inspection (SSI) schedules including surveillance / external audits, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, HSG65 & ILO-OSH2000.
* Lead / facilitate accident investigations with appropriate record of analysis, trends, risk reduction measures, follow up and full command over software (ICAM, FPe, IIS) for Incident investigation & reviewing overall safety performance.
* Produce monthly statistical information on HSE performance with monthly updates on Performance, KPIs and Safety Alerts. Ensure dissemination of safety related notices/material.
* Carry out or participate in inspections / routine maintenance checks of HSE related equipment in liaison with the Production and Maintenance Superintendents
* Liase with Field Manager and Superintendents on Emergency Response preparedness for all ZGP operations and assist in the organisation of exercises as well as participate in emergency response, mustered drills as directed by the Incident Controller
* Co-ordinate preparation of the necessary interface documents with existing operations and Organization KPI's, systems and procedures. Liaise with Local Authorities (EPA, SWPA, Chief Inspector of Mines, etc) to discuss applicable legislation relating to health, safety, environment and community matters especially related to SIMOPs.
* Conduct and provide the presentations and drills such as BA donning, RIV Drill, Fire Fighting, Rescue from height, Hose Laying Drills etc.
* Development, implementation and Management of Waste Management Program and Bio- remediation plan as well as Hazardous Material Management (IATA). Also assist in storage, handling and disposal of Hazardous & non hazardous wastes.
* To ensure that the drilling waste management project (Bioremediation/ Land farming of OBM drill cuttings) is carried out safely and efficiently, in accordance with contractual obligations, Bridging Documents and BHPB Pakistan Asset HSEC Management System and Fatal Risk Control Protocols.
* Apply HSEC policy, draw attention to changes that affect environmental aspects, ensure activities are in compliance with environmental legislation, routinely monitoring of environmental emissions, develop implement and maintain management programs to achieve environmental targets, delegate environmental responsibilities, ensure effective internal and external communication, ensure operational control procedures are in place and adhered to by team, supervise emergency response of team, ensure monitoring of environmental parameters, ensure non-conformances are investigated and acted upon, cooperate with audit team and implement audit findings, give inputs for management review, and develop overall environmental and EMS awareness within team.
