Seismic Processing:

RPS ENERGY - GEOPHYSICS MANAGER 1991 TO PRESENT
Responsible for the Geophysics department within the consultancy division, which encompasses Geophysical Project management, all seismic survey design, acquisition tender specifications and review, processing tender specifications and review, bespoke processing projects on the in-house ProMAX systems, external processing supervision and reservoir characterisation utilising AVO and inversion software. The diverse projects require continued internally travel.

Consultant Exploration Manager
Russia The client has a small number of staff with no geophysical expertise. I am responsible for the exploration development of the Clients licence. As the blocks are in near seismically virgin areas, which has made it has been necessary to utilise surface geochemical analysis to high grade areas for seismic acquisition. I was responsible for the interpretation of the limited seismic data to design 2D acquisition problems to cover 4 of their 5 blocks. Currently 3 licence blocks have been covered with seismic which were interpreted to define prospects with the second well being drilled.
Consultant Exploration Manager
Tanzania The client has a small number of staff with no geophysical expertise. I am responsible for the interpretation of legacy data, the design of a new infill 2D seismic program, supervised the reprocessing and processing of the new seismic data and the close liaison during the current drilling program.
Consultant Geophysics Manager
China The client has a small number of staff with none with geophysics expertise. I have been involved in their exploration in the East China Seas since 1999. I have interpreted the original 3D volume, which has been expanded by designing and shooting an extensional 3D. I am responsible for the supervision of the 3D processing and the subsequent AVO and Inversion work. They are currently in the exploration well planning phase.
Consultant Processing Manager I was responsible for the managing and supervision of all the seismic process needs of a small Russian Oil company with interests in the Komi Region of Russian. * (1989 - 1991) Party Chief of a 3D marine processing group with responsibility for managing a crew of five people. Responsible for the testing and parameter decision, the scheduling and client liaisons. Working on Unix based CONVEX computer, DEC VAX 8650's, 11/780 and SUN workstations using Digicon proprietary software. Initially on return from the Netherlands to Head Office, responsible for the loading and checking of 3D Navigation and Seismic Marine data onto the SUM workstation.
* (1984 - 1989) Secondment to the Netherlands to work for Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij (NAM). Project leader for Dutch onshore 3D Seismic Survey. Expertise in processing of data from Land, Marine and the transitional zones. Promoted to Party Chief in December 1988. Experience in DEC VAX systems along with associated interpretation and data loading work on LANDMARK, GECO's and GSI's interpretation stations. Good working knowledge of FORTRAN and responsible for liaison between the 'Users' and the programming department in Head office. Re-written many programmes to run specific computer figurations. Responsible for seismic data processing of vintages ranging from 1964 - 1988; of both marine and land source and both 2D and 3D surveys. Close co-operation with the interpreters providing valuable experience of their requirements.
* (1983 - 1984) Transferred to UK headquarter, East Grinstead. Assistant Party Chief for marine 2D seismic processing group. Experience of both Production and Trails work on data from many geographical areas.
* (1981 - 1983) Secondment to work for ARAMCO in Croydon. Senior geophysicist processing newly acquired 2D Land data from Saudi Arabia with particular effort in the analysis of static's problems under dune topography.
* (1980 - 1981) Input Geophysicist involved in land and marine 2D seismic processing Digicons DISCO software packages on DEC VAX systems.
