Working as "Manager" [Offshore Sales Engineering (Basic Engineering and Estimation)] at "Samsung Heavy Industries" Geoje Shipyard, South Korea.
 Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) puts its main focus on shipbuilding, offshore floaters, digital devices for ships and construction & engineering concerns. SHI operates manufacturing facilities at home and abroad, including ship block fabrication factories in Ningbo and Rongcheng, China. Technologically speaking, SHI is second to none in the world. In particular, SHI is without peer in the area of high added-value and special purpose vessels, including Liquefied Natural Gas Carriers, Off-shore Related Vessels, Oil Drilling Ships, Ultra Large Container Ships and Arctic Shuttle Tankers. Mazagon Dock Limited is a premier Ship Yard & Heavy engineering company involved in planning, engineering, fabrication commissioning & handover of War Ships, corvettes, Submarines of Indian Navy, FRP boats, commercial boats Patrol Vessels for BSF, Inland waterways, Heavy Engineering & Offshore jobs of ONGCL IOCL. etc.
Following are the responsibilities /activities assigned/carried –out
* Representing as MDL- Rep at Offshore and at Design Consultant office for coordination with clients/Engineering consultant/contractor for Engineering/Design of the Project.
* Studying the ONGC / EIL Bid package and estimating, evaluation of the quantum of work for Instrumentation and Electrical sections, listing out the Instruments/Equipments and other items required for the whole project.
* Preparing and issuing shop drawings(Using AutoCAD-R2000) of Instrumentation and Electrical sections like Process and Instrumentation Diagram( P&ID), Cable/Tube tray layouts, Junction Box 'Schematics, SAFE Chart, Logic Diagram, Single Line Diagram, and other Drawings/Documents complying all the API/IEEE/ASME and other International coeds, required for erection and commissioning the project.
* Engineering of DCS/PLC for the entire process platform and its associated well head platforms.
* Scrutiny of offers received from vendors for MTO items (Valves, Cables, Tube, trays, etc).
* Scrutiny of offers received from vendors for Instrumentation Items (Telemetry Interface Cabinet, Gas Detection System, Pressure Gauges, Safety valves, Shut down valves, Electronic Transmitters, etc.).
* To advice Commercial Department to procure the materials as per the Bid requirement complying the latest revision of Indian and International Codes and Standards.
* To kill the problems of Instrumentation/Electrical systems at the field/platform.
* Some of the Major Projects completed:- CRMP-I, WIS-SLQ BRIDGE, EE- REABILATION, BHS-SLQ - TG REVAMP, BHN-REVAMP & HV- Platform of M/s ONGCL.
* Installation of PLC(Allen Bradley) Based DCS system at BHN platform which is one of the oldest and maximum oil production platform of Ms. ONGCL, India and Hooking up the same with the existing PLC system used for the TG, F& G etc
* Modification of Existing HVAC-system and moderation of Living Quarters at Mumbai High South Processes platform which is the biggest process platform in South Asia.
* Carrying out the survey of Existing Shut down Panels on Process/Well Platform s for Hoop-up process of new/existing instrument, equipments, if any modification is required inside the Shut Down panel for the above the same were carried out the at side at minimum period.
* Commissioned Fire And Gas detection system, Well / Fire Shut Don Panels. DCS /PLC System Telemetry Interface Units and other Filed/Panel Instruments at various Offshore Platforms/Sites and also involved in Revamping of HVAC System at offshore Platform.
