2006 – Present Geomarket Manager, East Russia – Yuzhno Sakhalinsk

Oversaw the introduction of Schlumberger's business into East Siberia as the first Western service company to enter the region. Opened field operating bases and developed an independent sales and technical support organization.

In Sakhalin, furthered the application of extended reach drilling, geosteering & well servicing technologies for near-shore field access. Industry records set for wireline tractoring operations.

2004 – 2006 Well Services Manager, Russia - Moscow

Line management responsibility for the Russian pumping services business, managing 1,400 employees in 12 operating locations. Key technical challenges were evolving fracture designs with changing field development methodology and performing effective stimulations in the near-water, brown-field environment. Introduced coiled tubing to the Russian marketplace replacing work-over rigs as the preferred method for post-frac clean-outs, to maximize well productivity and increase ESP run-life.

2002 - 2004 Well Services Manager, Gulf Coast – New Orleans

Managed pumping services business for offshore GoM, in-land waters and land operations in Louisiana. Introduced a self-compensating coiled tubing system to allow rig-less intervention on spars/TLPs, ultra-delayed fracturing fluids for deepwater FracPac operations, high drawdown vent-screen sand control system and cementing techniques to minimize shallow water/gas in-flows in the deepwater drilling environment.

2000 – 2002 Global Well Intervention Tools Manager - Houston

Responsible for the implementation of a products/service business managing a third party acquisition, product development team, field training program and manufacturing function. Introduced tools for coiled tubing fracturing and a system to allow selective coiled tubing entry to TAML level 1-6 multi-lateral completions. Developed a sustaining engineering and field technical support program for through-tubing tool applications (fishing, motors, packers, inflatables, rig-less re-completions, mechanical scale removal)

1998 - 2000 Country Oilfield Services Manager, Denmark - Esbjerg

Line manager for the Danish operation, managing the full-range of Schlumberger services. Introduced ADN and rotary steerable geosteering technique to optimise well placement in carbonate reservoirs and coiled tubing technologies to allow extended reach interventions.

1996 - 1998 Country Operations Manager, Vietnam - Vung-Tau

Responsible for pumping and drilling/completion fluids business in Vietnam. Implemented tip screen out fracturing methodology in sandstone reservoirs and techniques for stimulation of the naturally fractured basement reservoir.

1990 – 1996 Field Engineering positions in Brunei, Thailand, China & Indonesia

Performed land/offshore well-site operations in cementing, service tools, gravel pack, matrix stimulation, fracturing, coiled tubing & nitrogen services.
