I have 28 years of hands on work history in the upstream and mid stream oil and gas industry. I have extensive experience in design, installation, and operation of facilities from the wellhead through sales and transmission. This includes design and installation of dehydration equipment, batteries, pipelines and compression. I have also supervised drilling, completion and workover operations.
I am experienced on large and small gathering systems, with and without compression including fully instrumented systems with pressure/volume controls and varied metering equipment.

Work History

2003 – Present Orbit Energy- Contract Operations Supt.

Manage daily operations and production reporting for active leases and current capital well work. Responsibilities include direction of 6 (3 company and 3 contract) production operations employees. I periodically contract and supervise additional land men for ROW acquisition to accommodate power lines, flow lines and gathering lines to support operations. I manage a lease operating budget and AFE expenditures for the capital program. I verify and process all invoices to ensure proper charges and field accounting.
Included in a recent $350K capital program were 10 re-entries in the SE Kansas Weiser sand. These wells were cleaned out, tubed to pump, units set and kicked off to the new tank battery I designed and installed. I also cleaned out and retubed an Arbuckle well for disposal to support this lease.
I also re-entered 2 SE Kansas Mississippi wells. These were deepened, acidized, tubed to pump and units set. They were electrified and tied into existing tank battery within a budget of $150K. I deepened an existing well to the Arbuckle and tubed it up for an AFE at $100K.
I also executed a small $1.5MM drilling program for 6 SE Kansas Mississippi wells. These were drilled, completed and facilities were installed to sales.
Planned and executed a $2.5MM AFE Freestone County fairly complicated re-entry to recomplete in the Cotton Valley.

1988-2003 Pinnacle Natural Gas Company- Field Operations Supt.

Responsible for daily operations from company owned production through pumping and transporting third party production. Activities included managing 4 company employees, 15 contract pumpers on a wide variety of producing systems as well as a variety of contract land men responsible for ROW acquisition to enable gathering system growth. I prepared project AFE's, managed the operating budget, production reporting and forecasting, chemical and lubricant purchasing and compression system maintenance and all inventory needed to maintain operations of systems and equipment. I made decisions on lease, lease purchase and or buying of compression for each gathering system. I verified and processed all invoices to ensure proper charges and field accounting. Checked integration each month on system charts and down loads from electronics to balance system MMBTU's. I also planned and managed all meter testing, calibration and sampling. I was also responsible for hiring and training support personnel.
I designed green field systems as well as upgrades on existing systems and supervised the construction, installation, commissioning and operations. The 70 odd projects I completed during this time were systems that varied from $100K to $2.5MM AFE's, 100mcf to 130MMmcf capacity, 1 mile to 20 miles in length, with and without compression, 1 to 300 psi suction pressure to 40 to 1200 psi discharge, poly line through 10" steel pipe, in New Mexico, Texas, Colorado, Kansas and Illinois. I also maintained positive relations with landowners and surface tenants across our geographic area.

1986-1988 Self Employed

Repaired miscellaneous surface facilities and pipeline equipment including gas units, dehydration units, control valves, separators, treaters and meters. Designed and installed pigging receivers and launchers. Install equipment for new well hook-ups and commission facilities.
My client list included Santa Fe Energy, Sun Oil, Yates, Nearburg, Pinnacle Natural Gas Company and Gas Well Services.

1983-1986 Sivalls Inc.- Field Technician

Repair and service technician for Sivalls. Installed, serviced and maintained original Sivall's equipment. Maintain customer relations with operator's field representatives. Attended Sivalls in-house training on main assembly floor on gas equipment including gas units, dehydration, and separation equipment.

1980- 1983 Roustabout- Drilling Operations

Assisted welders, mechanics and rig movers in fabrication, repair and moving of drilling rig components including substructures floors, motor skids, pump skids, steel pits, all motors and engines, clutches and valves.

1976- 1980 Military USAF (Strategic Air Command)

Entered USAF on February 14, 1976. I received 8 weeks of technical training at Chanute AFB, Illinois on B-52 and KC-135 fuel system functions and operations. I was then stationed at Minot AFB as fuel systems technician repairing all fuels controls, pumps and engine feeds. Promoted to Senior Fuel Systems Technician with rank of senior airman. Trouble shoot problems with tankers and bombers on alert pads and stand down for repair or repair as needed on the line. Promoted to Shop Chief-Fuel Systems Minot AFB with rank of NCO. I was responsible for operational costs on repair and maintenance of all aircraft located at base. Responsible for the fuel shop, assigned personnel, training, and implementing fleet readiness safety procedures. I received an honorable discharge February 14, 1980.
