October 2007 to date: Construction Manager Onshore Pipeline- J. Ray McDermott E. H. Ltd.
J. Ray McDermott is the main construction contractor for the Onshore Pipeline Installation for Ras Gas Offshore Expansion Project Phase II, Ras Laffan, Qatar. Responsible for the management of the appointed local construction sub-contractor, Med Gulf. Workforce 450; in addition supervise J. Ray McDermott project PMT. Project consists of two 38" diameter buried steel welded X65 pipelines, wtk: 33mm. Also responsible for compliance with Project Standards, Specifications, HSE and Quality Plans.

January 2007 to Sept. 2007: Senior Pipeline Construction Superintendent – Petrofac International Ltd.
Management and supervision of OJSC Stroytransgaz (STG) the Russian construction contractor for the Kovykta-Sayansk-Irkutsk Gas Pipeline Phase 1A Kovykta to Zhigalova, Eastern Siberia, Russia. Pipeline is 120 Km 28" diameter X-65 pipe. The pipeline is through dense virgin pine forests (taiga). There are two major river crossings, a number of streams, two main cased road crossings, six pig traps, two main line block valve stations, fiber optic cable and 10KV overhead power line. Reporting to me are superintendents and supervisors.

December 2005 to December 2006: Onshore Pipeline Construction Manager/Engineer – Kellog Brown & Root.
Management and supervision of Saipem S.p.A. the EPC contractor for the Kashagan Field Development Project Experimental Programme Trunkline and Production Flowlines Project, Kazakhstan. Pipelines under construction 18" Fuel Gas, 28" Sour Oil and 28" Sour Gas including 12 Km near shore sections into the Caspian sea for each line and with above ground installations. All three pipelines are 95 Km's in length. Full field supervisory/inspection team reporting to me and I report to Company Package Manager.

August 2004 to November 2005: Construction Manager – Pipeline, Canadian NEXEN Inc. (formerly Canadian Occidental Oil Company), Republic of Yemen.
Management of the three main contractors engaged by NEXEN Inc. for the construction of the main Sales Oil Line, Gathering Lines and Flow Lines and Well Sites associated with the development of the new green field Block 51 oil field, Yemen. Full field supervisory team reporting to me and I report to the Field Project Manager. Pipeline sizes: 24", 20", 16", 12", 10", 8" & 6".

March 2000 to July 2004: Lead Project/Construction Engineer – Pipeline, King Wilkinson (Saudi Arabia) Ltd. Saudi Arabia (part of the AMEC Group).
Management and supervision of Suedrohrbau S.A. the EPC contractor for Haradh Gas Gathering Manifolds and Transmission Pipelines project. Prior to site mobilization engaged in the detail design phase as part of the Project Management Team. Initially supervised two design contractors (Saudi Bechtel Company and Zamel & Turbag Consultant Engineers) in preparation of the FEED documents for the Gas Gathering Manifold and Transmission Pipelines and 230 Km. Condensate Pipeline projects, Haradh Gas Development Programme. On successful completion of this project April 2003 relocated to SRG-156" 150 Km, UBTG-3 56" 45 Km, UBTG-4 48" 50 Km and HDUG-1 48" 140 Km gas pipelines and plant appurtenances to supervise the completion of the pipelines, pre-commissioning, commissioning, clearance of "punch lists" and handover to the Operating Department. EPC contractor Technip (Germany).

Jan. 1999 to Feb. 2000: Construction Manager, Zamel & Turbag Consultant Engineers (ZATE), Saudi Arabia.
Supervised full construction management team on 70 Km 24" diameter 5L X60 steel welded gas pipeline for the client: Arabian Petrochemical Company (Petrokemya). Reporting to me were the QA/QC Manager with full inspection team, Safety Supervisor, Contract Controls Supervisor, Scheduler, Material Controller, Field Engineers, Discipline Superintendents and Site Clerical Staff. Team numbered thirty two (32). I reported to the Project Manager. Contractor was Al-Joaib Company: workforce approximately 450.

April 1997 to Nov. 1998: Sr. Project Engineer/Deputy Project Manager, Dodsal & Co. LLC, Sultanate of Oman.
Dodsal & Co. LLC were the EPC contractor for Petroleum Development of Oman (PDO) on the LNG Upstream Gathering System, Interfield and GGS Interlink Pipelines Project. Supervised the engineering sub-contractor, Stork & Partners Engineering Consultancy. In addition responsible for project planning, daily & weekly reporting, liaison with the client and other groups within the company. When required deputised for the Project Manager to whom I reported to.

Aug. 1991 to April 1997: Project engineer, Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco), Saudi Arabia.
Engaged by the Pipeline Projects Department on oil field related projects such as: pipelines, flow lines, water injection and miscellaneous oil plant facilities. Responsible for design review/construction drawings, material approval, contract development and overall project supervision/management.

May 1984 to July 1991: Field Unit Construction Supervisor, Arabian Gulf Oil Company, Benghazi, Libya: based in the Sarir Oilfield.
Field management and supervision of oilfield related and general construction projects such as: pipelines, flow lines, satellite stations, warehouses, accommodation blocks complete with utility services. Reported directly to Head of Construction in Benghazi. Reporting to me all expatriate and Libyan field engineers/staff and inspection personnel.

Jan. 1983 to March 1984: Senior Supervisor/Deputy Construction Manager, PLT Engineering Ltd. London. Based in Bangladesh on 120 mile 24" diameter 5L X52 steel welded gas pipeline from Bhakrabad gas field to Chittagong.
Responsible for supervising all QA/QC functions, monitoring project progress, compiling weekly/monthly reports and agreeing/approving work completed for interim payments. Reported to the Construction Manager and responsible for the expatriate inspection personnel and client's own field engineers. Client Bhakrabad Gas Systems Ltd.

1982: Company Representative for Apex Consultants Ltd. London. Based in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E.
The client was Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, Gas Projects Division. I was involved directly in expatriate recruitment and supply of field personnel to represent ADNOC QC Department on a variety of gas projects.

1981 to 1982: Senior Engineer/Deputy Construction Manager, IMEG Ltd. London. Based in Benghazi, Libya.
Project: 570 Km 34" diameter 5L X52 steel welded gas pipeline and appurtenances from Marsa El-Brega to Misurata. Responsible for supervision of all QA/QC functions, compiling weekly/monthly reports, monitoring project progress for reporting and interim payments. The project was divided into two spreads headed by a Senior Inspector who reported to me: I reported to the Construction Manager.

1979 to 1981: Chief Office Engineer, Tebodin Middle East Ltd. Abu Dhabi, U.A.E.
Responsible for the processing of all interim payment certificates for projects supervised by Tebodin M.E. Ltd., material control, liaison with third party authorities, compiling monthly report for client and general site office management. Reported to Principal Resident Engineer, Head of Construction. Based in Abu Dhabi City main office where Company's QS, land surveyors, draftsmen, liaison officer and general clerical personnel reported to me. Projects: oil and water pipelines and ground level water reservoirs.

1978 to 1979: Senior field Engineer, Sonatrach GED, Algerian National Oil Company. Based in Central Algeria.
Project: 420 Km 42" diameter 5L X60 steel welded gas pipeline from central Algeria to the coast. Supervised the inspection and NDT team on main pipeline spread and DJ yard. Reported to Chief Project Engineer, Algiers based.

1975 to 1978: Senior Field Engineer, Mafarco Ltd. Tehran, Iran; main contractors to NIGC & NIOC.
Project: Gas Distribution in Zone B of Tehran City. Supervised measurement of all construction activities for payment and 'as built' drawings, radiographic inspection sub-contractor and QA/QC functions. Supervised full pipe laying crew. Prior to construction, for a period of six months was involved in material control and expediting materials from overseas and local suppliers.

1974 to 1975: Senior Inspector, Vetco (Iran) Ltd. NIOC Ahwaz Pipe Mill, South Iran.
Inspection and testing of sub-arc welded and ERW line pipe.

1973: Assistant to Resident Engineer, IMEG Ltd. Tehran, Iran.
Project: 117 Km 40" diameter 5L X60 steel welded gas pipeline south Iran. Client NIGC. General pipeline supervision and inspection.

1967 to 1973: Senior NDT Engineer/Shift Leader, British Airways Corporation, London Heathrow Airport.
