* Jun 2008 – 8th May 2009 Senior Completions & Intervention lead Engineer employed by Santos Ltd, office based in Adelaide Australia. My responsibilities are to provide engineering input into the planning, programming, execution and close out phases of all well activities associated with the management of the existing onshore Cooper-Eromanga Basin field assets. In charge of 8 staff and 30 contractors, Budget Responsibility (OPEX / CAPEX) up to $20MM per annum.

* Key Accountabilities.

* Ensure the highest HSE standards are maintained in all intervention activities.
* Manage field teams and support all Well Intervention activities.
* Technically review all intervention activity programmes to minimise deferment and maximise production.
* Monitor and report on contractor performance.
* Provide engineering input and ensure all Well Intervention activities carried out incorporate the latest technology, work methods and best practices from the industry to provide the most appropriate technical and financial solutions.
* Maintain close liaison with customers and external service providers so as to stay abreast of technical requirements and technical developments with the objective of maximising the business value through the application of appropriate new technology.
* Troubleshoot and advise solutions for all issues encountered within Intervention activities
* Provide support for Joint Venture partners worldwide intervention activities when required.
* Provide support to the relevant procedure author / custodian to ensure the procedures are fit for purpose and up to date incorporating best industry practises.

Nov 2002 – May 2008 Senior Completion & Well Intervention Engineer (rDTL & Maui Focal Point) Employed by Shell Exploration New Zealand Ltd (SENZL) on a residential status in New Zealand. Office based my responsibilities are to provide well servicing input into the planning, programming, execution and close out phases of all well servicing activities associated with the management of the existing offshore field assets. The complexity of a well servicing operation varies from Completions and Slickline Operations to data gathering, wellhead servicing, Electric line operations, integrity investigations, Coiled Tubing operations to major through tubing workover projects, and as part of the Well Services Team to ensure all Contractors meet the minimum HSE and QA/QC standards and that the most appropriate technical solution and best value for money is provided to the different field assets during all Well Servicing Activities. In addition I work with the Well Services Team to ensure that the technical integrity of all well conduits, inclusive of wellhead and related safety equipment is safeguarded. Provide support to other members of the Team during the design, specification, selection of all accessories for operations and timely procurement of equipment and services. A further area of focus is to ensure the Well Servicing department is up to date incorporating the latest work methods and best practices from the industry. Implement and assist with the Well Service field staff competencies.

* Well Engineering focal point to facilitate rDTL Workshops.
* Contract manager for Coiled Tubing, Pumping Services and Slickline.
* EPA Regional focal point for Coiled Tubing expertise.
* Custodian of Well Services Programmes for continued improvement.
