During my 20+ years of experience, I have had extensive experience in mining engineering and production (dragline, truck/shovel). On the engineering side, I know how to design, plan, and manage major construction projects; solve engineering and production problems; know the environmental and safety laws and regulations. On the production/management side; I know how to solve major production problems; manage personnel and contractors; prepare/tract budgets; prepare progress reports; make presentations to stock holders, board of directors, and etc. I am very well organized.

WORK EXPERIENCE:
Twenty + years of experience in dragline & truck/shovel mining, production, management, engineering, environmental and safety.
(2004 to present) – President / Owner of my own mining consulting firm performing design engineering, production, environmental and reclamation services for coal operators in the Illinois Basin Coal Field.
(04/1998 to Present) General Manager of Civil/Environmental Engineering, Risk Assessment/Corporate Compliance - Toyota Motor Manufacturing – During my 11 years with Toyota, I've been responsible for all civil/environmental engineering, major construction projects, and risk assessment/corporate compliance for the largest manufacturing facility in North America. The plant covers 8 million square feet (183 acres under one roof) sitting on a 1300 acre site. The plant is a very fast paced, high speed production facility (produces over 2,000 vehicles per day). Some of my responsibilities include:
- Responsible for all civil engineering and major construction projects.
- Review and approve all environmental permits.
- Recently completed a 75 million dollar roof replacement project. Largest roofing project ever completed in North America.
- Responsible for traffic engineering – Design the traffic flow for over 7000
team members plus hundreds of tractor trailers on-site each day.
- Pavement maintenance – Maintain over 26 miles of roads, 10 large parking lots, and a high speed test track.
- Landfill – Manage Toyota's on-site construction debris landfill.
- Structural – Responsible for all structural evaluations and modifications to facilities.
- Risk Assessment/Corporate Compliance - responsible for keeping company in compliance with all government and internal rules and regulations.
- Kaizen (Continuous Improvement)-I am an expert at making continuous improvements.
Toyota wrote the book on continuous improvement and I have mastered the process.

Responsible for all phases of dragline & truck/shovel production & engineering including reclamation, mine planning, exploration, development, environmental, cost analysis, equipment utilization, safety, risk assessment and public relations.

I have a very outgoing personality. I truly do know how to win friends and influence people. Some of my hobbies include; designing and building street rods and muscle cars, history and hiking. I am also very active in church activities. I have served in several capacities including; sunday school teacher, sunday school superintendent, church board member, youth director and etc.
