The project is about reorganizing and enhancing the capability of the Policy, Government & Public Affairs (PGPA) department. It involves defining a long term Chevron development strategy to ensure its Freedom to Operate.
* In order to successfully ensure this Freedom to Operate in Nigeria, the Policy, Government & Public Affairs group needs to be able to effectively liaise with Federal, State and Local Government, engage successfully with communities and councils, and provide timely, relevant, comprehensive communications to stakeholders. This in turn should lead to a significant reduction in community disruptions of installations and pipelines, increased community respect and trust, stronger influence on policy and advocacy groups and improved ability to anticipate and plan for changes in the environment.
