Attending Grey High School in Port Elizabeth gave me an excellent all-round education. Grey High School offered an educational programme based in strong traditions, an encouragement to excellence and a varied extramural programme. I benefited from the academic teaching, the extramural programme (especially the team sports) and being a Boarder in my Matric year – 1994. I particularly enjoyed the computer science courses, which I did as an extra subject until grade 11, and Mathematics where I obtained a distinction in my final year. Being a Boarder in Matric was a most beneficial and enjoyable experience as I learned to adjust to a new environment and interact with a range of fellow pupils from various cultures and backgrounds other than my own. As a consequence of my interest and exceptional ability in the field of mathematics, I decided to further my career in accounting by studying for the Bachelor of Commerce degree with accounting as a major.
