Swift Energy Operating, LLC ¡V South Bearhead Creek West, Gas Facilities Upgrades ¡V Project engineer and manager of expansion and upgrade of a natural gas gathering compressor station. The scope included installation of two gas compressors and facilities for CO2 treating, gas dehydration and Btu control / NGL removal. Prepared conceptual plans and cost estimates; presented and obtained project approval from Swift management; selected outside engineering companies, oversaw and their work;, specified, approved and requisitioned materials and equipment, prepared bid packages, awarded construction contracts; managed field construction with the help of one third-party chief inspector. Performed other related tasks associated with the project.
Sempra Pipelines & Storage ¡V Liberty Gas Storage, LLC Project ¡V Project & Construction Manager for development of a gas storage complex in the Gulf Coast area of South West Louisiana. My responsibilities included management of Sempra resources and many outside service companies and contractors to engineer, procure and construct the project facilities in compliance with federal, state, parish and local regulations and ordinances including FERC, Corp of Engineers, Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, Calcasieu and Beauregard Parishes.
Valero Feasibility Study ¡V Texas City to South Houston Crude Oil Pipeline ¡V Project manager for Babcock Eagleton to provide a feasibility study with an installation cost estimate for proposed installation of a new pipeline in congested existing pipeline corridors from Pasadena area of south Houston to Valero's Texas City Refinery. Managed Babcock Eagleton's internal resources to provide such services. Interfaced with Valero personnel and third parties in the effort.
TXU Gas ¡V 2003 and 2004 Pipeline Integrity Management Program ¡V Manager of TEPSCO's office that provided project management, engineering and field construction services to TXUG's pipeline integrity program across TXUG's several thousand miles of natural gas transportation and distribution pipeline system in Texas.
Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company ¡V 2001 Supplementary Integrity Project ¡V Project manager / primary engineer for pipeline facilities projects in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and Kentucky totaling over $20MM. The projects included the installation of 20 ¡V large diameter pig receivers and the replacement of 30 ¡V 30" mainline valves and related equipment. All installation and replacement work was on TGP's existing transmission pipeline system.
Delhi Pinnacle Reef Project - Project manager and engineer for a $45 million project to gather, treat, compress, transport and deliver gas from "Pinnacle Reef" wells drilled in Limestone, Leon, Freestone, and Robertson Counties, Texas. Project included 62 miles of 20" sour gas gathering pipelines; 26 miles of 20" transmission pipelines; a 9000 Hp gas compression station, two 100 mmcf/d gas treater plant expansions; and various other related pipeline, station, and plant facilities. The overall project was phased in as wildcat gas well drilling in the area became successful. Quick deadlines were met in order to connect successful wells. Handled project from early conceptual phase to final completion. Project was completed under budget and within schedule.
Delhi Carthage Compression and Transportation Project - Managed and engineered $3.5 million grassroots project to install gas compression, distribution header and interconnects with five major intrastate/interstate gas pipelines companies in East Texas. A 20 station acre site and four (4) pipeline ROWs were obtained. A three-header compressor / distribution piping system was designed for greatest efficiency and flexibility. Station was designed for easy future expansion including additional compression and a processing plant. This 12-week, fast-track project was completed within schedule and budget.
TU Electric Fuel Reconciliation Case - Functioned on a task force to prepare TU Electric's 1990, $8.2 billion fuel reconciliation case presented to the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT). Researched and analyzed gas procurement policies, gas purchases, gas storage issues, pipeline operations and gas dispatching. Prepared company responses during discovery phases of hearings, and composed testimony, reports, and other documents, analyzed testimony of PUCT staff and interveners. Technical and regulatory support to company witnesses, attorneys, consultants and executives during PUCT hearing. Provided technical support on topics dealing with TUFCO's underground gas storage operations in depleted oil, gas and salt cavern storage reservoirs.
TUFCO Bethel Modernization Project - Managed and engineered $4.5 million modernization project to an existing salt cavern gas storage / compression / dehydration / pipeline facility near Bethel, Texas in Anderson County. This project included modifications to the gas piping systems and complete new systems for electrical, monitoring, control and communications. Equipment and hardware installed included new motor control centers, backup electrical generation, Honeywell TDC 3000 distributed control, fiber optics communication, Bristol-Babcock RTU's, gas filtration and measurement, flow & pressure control, compressor remote startup control, control room, UPS system, and plant shut down and voice communications systems. The project was completed within budget and schedule with minimal impact to normal plant operations.
Delhi Longview Processing Plant NGL Pipeline - Managed and engineered a four-mile natural gas liquids pipeline from Delhi's Longview Natural Gas Processing Plant to a delivery station at a Mobil Corporation pipeline. Project included design, purchase and construction of an NGL pump station at the plant and electronic monitoring of Mobil's custody measurement at the Mobil interconnect.
Various Other Facilities Projects - Managed and engineered numerous other natural gas facilities projects for TUFCO and Delhi Gas Pipeline. Projects included: Pipelines from 2" to 12", gas dehydration, gas filtration, gas measurement and control, compressors, electrical and instrumentation, and plant process enhancements. Projects ranged in cost from a few thousand to several million dollars. All projects were successful.
