Project Manager
* Managing Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) of a Gas Plant in Gbaran Nigeria. I am responsible for an engineering team in Houston who is responsible for the detailed engineering design, procurement, and the transportation of equipment to Port Harcourt. In Port Harcourt, I manage the day-to-day activities with the client, Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC), and a Nigerian Construction contractor responsible for the civil works and installation of equipment. The plant commissioning and start up will be performed by company's operations team.
* The Gas Plant includes condensate stabilization unit, an amine unit, two cryogenic units, two separate storage unit systems, and a truck loading station. The project also includes a pipeline which is not under my responsibility, but I am responsible for the tie-ins to the pipeline which will be transporting the sales gas to the power station gas turbines.
June 2002 – July 2008, KES (Kuwaiti Engineering Services), Kuwait City, Kuwait

* Managing Engineering, Procurement, and construction of grassroots projects for Wafra MGC (Main Gathering Center) field located 50 miles Southeast Kuwait City, Kuwait. Responsible for the execution of these projects from initial conceptual design through construction, pre-commissioning, and startup.
* Responsible for managing medium to large size retrofit and debottlenecking capital projects. Managing a team of 5 discipline as well as operating and maintenance engineers. I am responsible to make sure that these projects are executed not only within time, budget, and Engineering/Operating specifications, but also meet the Safety, Maintainability, and Operability of the OGC (Oil Gathering Center) Field in Wafra.
April 1987 – May 2002, MILLENNIUM CHEMICALS - Clinton, Iowa

* Successfully completed the execution of capital projects for Ethylene, HD Polyethylene, and LD polyethylene plants from initial conceptual design through training and startup ranging from $10MM to $34MM.
* Acted as Company representative with the clients and selected vendors during the project execution.
* Established the design criteria and conceptual preliminary engineering for these projects. Monitored the final engineering and construction for adherence to these criteria.
* Mobilized company resources, through effective liaison with support departments, field offices, or subsidiaries, to create the project team.
1982 – 1987, OXY OF LIBYA – Tripoli, Libya
Project Manager
* Successfully completed design and installation of oil gathering center Capital and Major Expense Projects for an annual budget of $132MM. Reviewed the design and construction packages including P&I drawings, electrical, instrumentation and mechanical drawings with input from appropriate team members (Safety, Environmental, Operations, Maintenance, and Process Engineering).
* Assessed construction needs and contracted outside construction personnel to keep the construction on schedule. Coordinated construction activities including safety programs, manpower requirements, and purchasing activities to achieve project schedule and cost goals. Coordinated various team meetings with project team representatives including Hazops and pre-startup reviews.
1980 – 1982, BECHTEL PETROLEUM - San Francisco, California
Project Engineer
* Successfully completed the design and fabrication of process piping and equipment as Unit Modules in San Francisco to be installed at Prudhoe Bay, Alaska for a total cost of $132MM. Supervised the installation and startup and turned over to the customer as each unit was completed.
* Responsible for the design, fabrication, installation, and pre-commissioning activities related to these modules. Made sure these activities were consistent with the relevant design basis, codes, procedures and specifications.
* Successfully coordinated equipment shipment, installation and project start-up.
1979 – 1980, INSTITUTES OF GAS TECHNOLOGY - Chicago, Illinois
Training Services Supervisor
* Successfully developed over-all technical training program and strategy for the training of local High School graduates as electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation technicians.
* Was responsible for writing, creating, and editing of training programs and materials. Facilitated training seminars and classes at the job site, Das Island, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
1976 – 1979, DAVY POWERGAS, Shiraz, Iran
Graduate Engineer
* During the first 16 months, worked as graduate engineer and went through training program to learn the different phases of an EPC project. Spent a couple of months with each Engineer, Planning/Scheduling, Safety, Procurement, and Contracts department.
* Worked under the supervision of a senior project engineer and resolved the day to day construction problems.
