* Operations, Maintenance, troubleshooting and process control of pre treatment & Dematerialized Water Treatment plant its regeneration, Waste water treatment & Chemistry control systems of Thermal Power Plant (capacity of 4 X 210 MW & 1X 500 MW.
* Independently handling 3 DM plant having capacity of total 7 steams X 70 M3/hr DM water.
* To Provide specialist support and guidance for the effective Quality management and optimization of the water /steam cycle chemistry by analyzing and monitoring of Raw Water, Clarified Water, DM Water, Condensate Return, Feed Water, Boiler Water, Saturated Steam, Superheated Steam etc connected with Thermal Power Plant.
* Coordinate analysis and monitoring of Large Power plant Boiler (High Pressure Boiler) water, feed water, cooling water, and demineralization make-up water chemistry.
* Large Power plant Boiler (High Pressure Boiler) chemical conditioning.
* Establish, database and make recommendations for prediction of trends and associated risks (like corrosion of boiler & condenser tubes etc.) to facilities operations.
* Make recommendations to the Company for necessary operational changes based on data analysis and test results.
* Carry out costs optimization of chemical consumption based on recommended daily dosages.
* Chemical & Physical analysis of Gases i.e. H2 Gas, Flue Gas, Lubricant oil.
* Perform sampling, analysis, and reporting/recording of process water, chemical, fuel, or environmental chemistry samples
* Ensure quality and compliance of laboratory and sampling procedures and records and implement operating guidelines for continuous improvement
* Understanding of the environmental compliance requirements of an operating power plant or utility.
* Checking the overall effect of improvements by the yearly inspection of HP, IP, LP turbine and boiler drum.
* Analyze environmental pollutants like CO2, water (BOD etc).
* Analyze bottom ash, fly ash and coal (as and when received)
* Make periodic inspections to see that all equipment and controls are operating properly and are in good condition.
* Maintain consumption and production records.
* Checking of quality of Bulk chemicals like Hydrochloric Acid, Caustic Soda lye, Ammonia, Hydrazine, Alum, lime etc.
* Maintain inventory lists and requisitions supplies, materials and equipments.
* Assist in training lower-level chemist and others.
* Provide instruction and training in the proper methods and processes necessary to carry out assignments.
* Inspect and test new instruments and equipment installations.
* Prepare written reports on ongoing projects and on the condition of machinery.
* Check daily logs to determine proper operation of equipment.
* Perform related work as assigned.
