An accomplished engineer with both project management and engineering management experience. With 10 years of solid experience in the offshore oil and gas and shipbuilding industry and having had responsibility for multi-million dollar project portfolios.
PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS
Engineering Management
• Managed a multi-disciplined Engineering/Project Management Department. This department included Project Managers, Warranty Engineers, Commissioning Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Planning Engineers, Naval Architects, Mechanical Engineers, Estimators, 3D Designers and Draftsmen.
• Instructed and groomed managers and engineers, 3D designers and draftsmen to use more efficient and sophisticated techniques and new software.
• Implemented new 3D production engineering software for mechanical, electrical, structural and piping systems design.
• Reorganized the engineering department and improved inter-departmental cooperation by focusing on effective communication between department supervisors and promoting teamwork.
• Initiated the creation and development of a planning system and implemented the use of Primavera as the planning software for the company.
• Worked with the I.T. department for the development of the in-house ERP system for improved collection of project performance data.
• Motivated department and project teams, by incorporating personnel grading systems and KPIs.
Project Management
• Managed multiple projects amounting to US$90million, ranging from new vessel construction to an offshore accommodation/crane barge upgrade.

Engineering
• Designed and engineered FPSO structures, well-head platforms; flare booms and jackets for the offshore oil & gas industry.
• Produced ship designs including offshore supply boats, offshore crewboats, barges, and patrol vessels.
• Conducted surveys on FPSOs, ships, barges and offshore jack-up drilling rigs.
• Completed mechanical, piping and structural systems designs.
• Analyzed and designed heavy load crane lifts for modularized construction projects.
• Applied design and analysis standards according to BV, ABS, DNV, GL, LR, AISC, API, HSC, SOLAS, MODU, MARPOL, and using Staad, Multiframe, Strand, Maxsurf, Autoship and AutoCAD.
Business Development
• Met with overseas clients in India, the middle-east and Europe for the presentation and negotiation of tender proposals.
