CAREER SUMMARY
Completed a Technical apprenticeship in Marine Engineering, joined the Merchant Navy on VLCC's & bulk carriers as a sea-going Engineer. Thereafter I worked in Power Gen. then introduced into the oil and gas industry, starting in overseas refineries, gas plants, G.O.S.P.’s and pipelines, during which, I was employed by Worthington and Ingersoll Rand for 8 years as Company representative, specializing in rotating and reciprocating machinery, installing, commissioning and overhauling pumps, compressors and turbo-machinery and packages. I joined a design consultant on a nuclear related project for 2 years until completion. Project Engineer Benchamas Field, Offshore, Gulf of Thailand Gas/oil/condensate field with water flood and gas lift capacity comprising eight, four legged, Wellhead platforms with minimum facilities, normally unmanned platforms (MFP’s) 600Tonnes topsides, consisting of wellhead control systems, 18 slots, test facilities, production headers, pre pipeline separation, power generation. Utility systems, pedestal cranes, helidecks and pipeline “Brownfield” interconnections.
Responsible for all discipline engineering issues related to the design, procurement, construction, transportation, offshore installation and commissioning of 8 wellhead platforms, pipelines and tie ins to existing “Brownfield ”pipelines, platforms and sub-sea wye skids. Reporting directly to the project manager for financial and technical control, review and approval of design documents, drawings, data sheets, T.Q’s.
