1973 - 1977: B.Sc. Majorly in geology, The Academy of Geology and Mines, Dept. of Mines and Energy, Bandung, INDONESIA Thesis: "The Geology of Southern Part of Purwakarta Area, West Java, INDONESIA".

1984 - 1987: M.Sc. Majorly in geology, The University of Canterbury, Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND.
Thesis:"The Cretaceous-Tertiary Geology of the Wandle Depression, North Canterbury Area, Waiau District, Northern Canterbury,
NEW ZEALAND.

Laboratorium equipment thesis support: Polysator Microscope; SEM; XRD; XRF; Magneto Separator; Pippette Analysis and rock cutting and polished for thin section procedure to described, point-counting/modal analysis and to analyze the sedimentary and igneous petrographics (provenance and diagenesis studies), petrophysical work, log analysis, clay structural model and seismic stratigraphy for sequence stratigraphic interpretation.

FIELD OF INTEREST IN GEOLOGY:

* Sedimentolgy is to emphasize on the clastic sedimentary petrography applies for provenance and diagenesis studies to end-up with good prediction about reservoir quality of the sedimentary basin especially for hydrocarbon exploration and development geology. Sequence stratigraphy (i.e. study of the measuring sections of the outcrop surface geology, seismic stratigraphy and log characteristic).
Basin analysis leading to petroleum exploration and play.
* Regional tectonic study related to basin configuration within hydrocarbon prospect.
* Economic geology - including gold and other economic minerals explorations.
* Regional tectonic related to the mineralisation; ephitermal and porphyric gold and copper, and also to design basin configuration within which the hydrocarbon trap is the main target for exploration.

EXPERIENCES

1977-1979: Regional geological field mapping in P. Kei, SW Molluca; Jambi-East Sumatra (Jambibasin); Salatiga-Central Java; south-central-southeast arm of Sulawesi and western part of P. Seram quadrangles. Duties involved as party chief field geologist especially for analysing and interpreting data taken from geological traverses to design and to finalyse on geological map, scale 1:250,000.

1980-1983: Regional geological field mapping mainly in Sulawesi includes West-Central- East and Southeast Arms of Sulawesi. The Kendari area and Banggai-Sula islands are still partly of the Sulawesi regional geological mapping project (scale 1:250,000). Duties involved as above. Party Chief.

1988-1989: Geological field mapping on the 'outer arc ridge' west-off Sumatra, Simeulue island. Duties involved; party chief geologist and geological map first author. Sinabang Quadrangle, Scale 1:250,000.

Geological Research and Development Centre (GRDC) representative for the technical assistance (geologist consultant) especially in the petroleum companies, as follows:

1987-1988: Geological field mapping stressed on the stratigraphy measurement and sedimentology aspects of basin study to search hydrocarbon potential, oil and gas sampling in northern Buru basin, northern Molucca. Join research GRDC- PERTAMINA. Consultant Geologist (full time).

1988-1989: 6 month services on basin study special attention study on Ngrayong sand (paleoenvironment, reservoir characteristic, diagenesis and provenance), seismic stratigraphy, oil-play and concept using (i.e.lopatin, static-seismic and well corellations) in NE Java back-arc basin including Madura island. The services performed both in the field and office works. Join study GRDC- TREND TUBAN -PERTAMINA. Consultant Geologist (full time).

3 month services on gold exploration, duties involved volcanic and igneous rock alterations field mapping and stream sediments in east Kalimantan. Join project between GRDC and PT.Tridaya. Consultant Geologist.

1989-1990: 6 month services on structural geological mapping to modelize the balance section related to hydrocarbon traps in Lengguru Fold Belt (thin skin model), Irian Jaya, Indonesia. Join study GRDC-MOBIL OIL INDONESIA- PERTAMINA. Consultant Geologist (full time).

1991-1996: Provenance and diagenesis studies (using modal analysis, petrography) of lower Miocene clastic deltaic sedimentary rocks dealing with reservoir characteristic or quality, Sanga-Sanga PSC, Kutei Basin, East Kalimantan, Indonesia. Join Research GRDC-VICO INDONESIA- PERTAMINA. ConsultanGeologist (full time).

1996: Basin Study on South Sulawesi (West-Arm of Sulawesi) especially Upper Cretaceous-Tertiary sedimentary-volcanogenic rock sequences, and also includes the study of some carbonate platform problems within the basin development of Karama-Lariang basins. Join study between the University of London (UCL) and GRDC on the possibility of hydrocarbon prospects in this basin. As Superviser.

1997: The continuation of basin study as above. This time detail section on the geological field traverses of the Lariang sub basin, western tip of the west arm of Sulawesi. Partly of join research University of London (UCL) and Geological Research and Development Centre (GRDC), Bandung, Indonesia. Superviser.

1998: 2.5 month field works on coal exploration and basin study of Jambi subbasin partly of South Sumatra basin. A month writing report on that part. Mineral Resources Dept. Dept. of Mines and Energy Project. Party Chief.

40 days geological field mapping in Pangandaran and Padaherang quadrangles (West Java) to accomplish the systematic geological map in scale 1:50.000. GRDC Project. Party Chief.

40 days structural geological mapping and research work on Latimojong Mtn central South Sulawesi. To see how relate to regional tectonic development in Western Arm of Sulawesi. GRDC Project. Party Chief.

15 days (during month of October) geological field observation on the spot of detail study on Ngrayong Sand to see sedimentological aspects (e.g. paleo- environment, geometry, stratigraphic position, and lateral distribution) in Madura Island. Joint Project GRDC-SANTOS SAMPANG Pty Ltd - PERTAMINA. Party Chief

60 days (November-December) writing report on the Ngrayong Sandstone outcrop distributions in Madura Island. Joint Project GRDC-SANTOS SAMPANG Pty Ltd (Sponsor) - PERTAMINA.
