It is a 40 M Euro Energy Management Project for 400 KV and 230KV substations (around 80 substations).
June 2001 – May 2003: ALSTOM FRANCE.
Worked on various Energy Management projects for Kuwait, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. Worked at sites also in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia and also extended training to the customers at their premises.
JAN 98 – June 2001: TATA STEEL, Jamshedpur, INDIA:
I was selected for the state-of-art and most profitable mill of TISCO, i.e., Hot Strip Mill. Under Modernization, it had been planned to expand the capacity of the mill from 1 Million Tons to 2 Million Tons. It had also been planned to get additional facilities to improve the quality of the hot rolled strip. My responsibilities include:
* Heading a section with 6 officers & 16 Technicians.
* Went for development of software at USA on CEGELEC, WESTINGHOUSE make DCS, PLC's, DC Drives.
* Development of Data Acquisition, Web (INTRANET) based applications.
* Association with CEGELEC, WESTINGHOUSE, USA for about three months on rolling technology/process, control and communication system. Emphasis on various levels of automation like basic mill automation, process automation and production planning and scheduling.
* Inventory management & Planned and breakdown maintenance
* Was trained in-house on VB, ORACLE 7, JAVA, Six Sigma, ISO 14000, Presentation skills, Mindset Management, Bench Marking, and Creative Problem Solving.
Jan 94 – Dec 98: TATA STEEL
* In charge of maintenance, projects of electronics in the steel making complex including billet caster, VADR, coke plant with a team of 6 officers, 25 technicians.
* In charge of Project implementation and coordinating with German technicians for Process controls with SIEMENS PLC's, Sifelex SCADA at 90 Lakhs De-sulpherisation Unit
* In charge of Project implementation of Billet Caster 2 for Process controls like THL PLC, Intellution SCADA, and Auto Mould Level Controllers.
* Was trained at JAPAN on Laser systems, in house on ISO9002, Personal growth workshop and C language.
Aug 91 – Dec 93: TATA STEEL
* In charge of Breakdown maintenance, Preventive maintenance of electronics in the billet caster with 6 technicians.
* Implemented a project of costing Rs 60 Lakhs Micro-process based Auto mould level controller and was a member of another Ladle Injection project costing 70 Lakhs
Jan 88 – Aug 91.

* Was trained at P.T.Ispat Indo, Indonesia plant on SIEMENS and AB PLC, DC Drives, Project and Maintenance Management
