* Conceptual design and reservoir simulation study to quantify technical feasibility of In-Situ Hydrovisbreaking (ISHRE) process on a very low API oil using STARS thermal simulator.

* As part of the integrated study for the Sen field, owned and operated by PEMEX, performed the pressure transient analysis study of the Sen field. All the tests ( 13 multiple DD and BU and 3 interference tests) were evaluated using Saphir V3.00 Well Test interpretation software.

The project encompassed Basic Engineering study, Geological Modeling using ROXAR's RMS suite of tools, and reservoir simulation. Using Welltest interpretation and RPI®, identified total skin effect due to mechanical damage, partial penetration and rate dependent skin effect from Non-Darcy flow. Used Black Oil (Eclipse 100) and compositional (Eclipse 300) simulation models for storage capacity, gas deliverability and liquid recovery determination.
* Reservoir evaluation study for reserve estimates and depletion planning of TPAO operated production fields, i.e. Saztube, Yelemez, and Laktibay fields in Kazakhstan using hybrid analytical methodology involving Well Test Analysis, RPI® and Material Balance techniques in synergy.
* Basic engineering and reservoir simulation study for S. Karatube field in Kazakhstan for reserve assessment, pre-development planning and feasibility evaluation.
* Hamitabat gas field (Thrace Basin) data compilation and analysis, creation of MS Access, Ingress and OFM databases. Performed basic engineering and reservoir simulation history match and prediction study using Eclipse 100 and Office suite software, published a report. Active participant in the compilation, analysis and assimilation of geological, geophysical, petrophysical, engineering data, geostatistical analysis, and ensuing reservoir simulation studies involving mechanistic, partial and full field model studies encompassing reservoir characterization, basic engineering and numerical simulation.

Accomplishments:

* Reservoir Engineering of the integrated study of Vibora Field located in Bolivia, containing two gas condensate reservoirs and a fractured black oil reservoir. The project encompassed studies in Petrophysics, Geology, Geophysics, Production Engineering, Basic Reservoir Engineering (Reserves), Enhanced Recovery Techniques, Numerical Simulation, Economic Analysis and Development Planning.
* Analyzed the mechanics of fracture propagation in heavy oil reservoirs during the steam injection cycle using SSI's THERM reservoir simulator.
* Built an indigenous material balance model for the Loma La Lata (Neuquén basin, Argentina) gas condensate field. Used petrophysical log and core data to characterize bitumen content. Incorporated geological, pressure transient, and RPI® analysis to characterize aeolian sands (dunes). Built the geostatistical model combining all the integrated information, and evaluated the effect of in-situ bitumen on the upscaled properties. Subsequently, successfully built and history matched 7 and 13 component compositional full field models and performed predictive studies to maximize the net present value of the reserves. The field operation includes full capacity production during winter and limited capacity production during summer with gas re-injection. Also assisted in the negotitations of design concepts for building another gas storage near Buenos Aires utilizing gas from this asset.
* Performed basic engineering, reservoir characterization, geostatistical analysis and upscaling, and several reservoir simulation studies for the Octógono Fiscal oil and gas field (Neuquén basin, Argentina) to determine economics of infill wells in various portions of the field.
* Developed a numerical program for the fluvial stochastic sand channel generation, and the generation and upscaling of the reservoir characterization parameters. The program honors hard data (well logs) from 110 well locations and soft data (seismic attribute) from geophysics. These tasks were accomplished for the Lunlunta Carrizal oil field (Mendoza basin, Argentina) for conversion of the said oilfield into a gas storage. Accomplished a history match and participated in design of field development and surface facility plan for gas storage operation.

* Reservoir characterization and parametric geostatistical modeling for the complex carbonate (limestone, dolomite, anhydrite, sandstone) Issaran heavy oil reservoir in Egypt. Thermal numerical simulation to assess project economics of steam stimulation, pattern steamflooding, and crestal steam injection processes.
* Parametric geostatistical modeling of sandstone reservoir and the full field numerical simulation study to identify and develop reserves for an offshore oil production together with an underlying carbonate sulfur mining operation. (Gulf of Mexico, Main Pass 299 Reservoir).
* Performed basic engineering, geological description, and simulation initialization for the heavy oil LaBrea field (Peru). Geologic and engineering characterization of a complex fault system for the accurate representation in the numerical simulator.
