 THESIS- PERFORMANCE OF THE DUTCH CONE METHOD: Thesis for undergraduate degree in civil engineering. The Dutch cone is a penetrometer that allows measurements of soil properties in situ without having to take soil samples to the laboratory. Soil parameters such as soil classification, shear wave velocity, relative density, liquefaction potential etc. can then be determined using this device with applications in geotechnical and seismic engineering and evaluation of soil characteristics.
