Highlights of Professional achievements:

1. Process design
Single handedly developed PFDs, P & IDs; Salient features, specs for pumps, all line mounted instruments for additional Tankages including Crude, HSDO, MS, SKO, Naphthalene feed stock, LSHS dispatch facilities.
2(a) Process Trouble Shooting:
High feed end temperature and low throughput were the troubles experienced in our coke calcination unit. After exhaustive study and analysis throughput could be raised to 10 MTPH against the normal 6-7 MTPH mainly through my effort.
(b) Wet slop processing in delayed Coker unit led to high vibrations of Japanese multistage fractionator bottom pumps. Slop processing was suspended for more than 5 years but after serious study, thoroughly prepared dry slops were successfully processed in the same unit in good quantities.
(c) Succeeded in combating Ammonium Chloride Corrosion in Coker frac. And Erosion-Corrosion in Decoking / Quench water.
3. Independently rendered Technical support for safe & smooth Precommissioning & Commissioning of world's biggest 8 drum Coker by Coordinating with Licensor (Foster Wheeler), Consultants & Detailed designers (Bechtel) & Commissioning (Shell) Crew. The omissions & inconsistencies were rectified by my timely intervention. Optimised the Silicone antifoam chemical consumption and brought it to the lowest in the world. Also optimised purge steam consumption in coke drum valves. Also optimised Flushing oil consumption in IPO & pump mechanical seals. Presently stabilized DCU at 114% of rated capacity on a sustained basis. Recently completed front end engineering comprising rating checks for Heat Exchangers, fin fan coolers, pumps & Towers for Debottlenecking from a guaranteed capacity of 102 KBPSD to 150 KBPSD. This is one of the lowest Energy consumers as per Solomon Benchmark and is topping all comparable Shell refining facilities. Also extended technical support for Plant Change Orders in FCCU.
