Key Achievements(continued) * Leader of a group created to capture, adopt and implement the technology of Underbalanced Drilling to improve the productivity of wells. Enrolled on international UBD schools, seminars and forums (Signa, IADC, SPE and BP).Participated in joint projects on UBD (U. Tulsa, JNOC and IFP).Coordinated and taught a UBD school for field engineers, the evaluation of a UBD simulator (Dynaflodrill) and a PDVSA manual for the UBD feasibility. Promoted the application of UBD technology using foam for wells and technical-economical studies to evaluate the potential of this technology on PDVSA fields;* Coordinated the technology activities associated with the drillabality of hard rocks of PDVSA wells to increment rate of penetration. With this objective, a methodology was implemented to optimize the selection and use of conventional bits. Also coordinated the evaluation and development of new technology, such as percussion bits and resonance bits, in joint projects with the research centers Terratek and CSIRO. A second field test with a hammer bit was carried out in hard rocks using 12 ¼" hole;* Over fifteen years of experience in laboratory and field activities, related with materials performance and selection for the production operations in the petroleum industry;* Conducted the implementation of an integral methodology "ADIOS" (Attribute, Design, Inspection, Operation and Surrounding) to reduce the fatigue index of drill pipe strings and bottom hole assemblies;* Directed the tubular evaluation for H2S, sour service, L90-C90- T95- C100 and C100S, for CO2, 22%Cr, 13%Cr, 13%Cr-5%Ni and bimetallic tubing, 13%Cr-4130, for high mechanical resistance, P110-Q125 and V140 and for high collapse, HC95 and HC110 to elaborate the complementary specifications;* Conducted several material failure analyses of API and priority connections and tubulars for HPHT wells;* Coordinated the team work to improve the quality control systems of equipment for the national oil industry PDVSA;* Professor of the Simon Bolivar University, Venezuela.
