Lead Control systems and instrumentation engineer.
JACOBS is the ENGINEER of the project of Jordan Magnesium Oxide plant project in SAFI-JORDAN, the plant is owned by the Jordan magnesia company, the main contractor and designer is AGRA-MONENCO INTERNATIONAL.
My position is the lead engineer of the I&C discipline within the ENGINEER team with the following tasks:
„h Construction activities supervision for all of the control loops and systems of the
Plant.
„h Design review, comments on the basic design documents and drawings.
„h Preparation of technical details of bidding documents.
„h Preparation of contractual agreements.
„h Material take-off for field instruments and control network.
„h Material technical specifications preparation.
„h Field orders control and follow-up.
„h Inspecting the control system installation, field instruments.
„h Construction Progress reporting and progress payments reviewing and approval.
„h Materials receiving inspections and reporting.
„h Commissioning activities supervision for all the control systems and loops
Including DCS from Fisher-Rosemount -Delta-V control system. PLC control
Systems from Allen-Bradley, SIEMENS S-7 and others.
„h Preparation and reviewing of commissioning procedures for Instruments and control systems power-up, pre-commissioning, loop checks, commissioning.

Control systems and Instrumentation maintenance lead Engineer:
* Supervising the power plant main control system ADVANT DCS, maintaining the system, programming, troubleshooting, functional modification, hardware, software management of all the system components like controllers, operation stations.
* Local field instrumentation - like smart transmitters, smart positioners, smart local driving systems - supervision, maintenance, calibration troubleshooting & programming.

I&C project Engineer:
Note: Merz and Meclellan is the engineer of the project of Aqaba thermal power station stage II -130MWx3-, I worked within the team of the I&C resident engineer, the contract between the Engineer and the owner -CEGCO- enabled the owner to provide the engineer with experienced staff, while the Engineer will take over leading and managing each discipline through one resident engineer.
„h During the construction phase: systems inspections for I&C equipment, contract application, approved and contractual drawing matching, specification application, equipment good installation, then reporting the punch items officially to contractor to carry out the needed modifications.
„h During the pre-commissioning phase: checking all the systems pre-turning over from construction phase to commissioning phase by safety checking, cold functional testing, powering on the central control system-DCS-, loop checking for each instrument to the DCS, correct configuration for each process system, logic application comparing with the approved design logic diagrams.
„h During the commissioning phase: monitoring the functionality of each instrument on the -hot process-, monitoring the behavior of the DCS system and its software functions in controlling the process, supervision of the system capability.
„h Supervising the control loops, controller's final tuning for all the loads stable and smooth regulation.
„h Spare parts handing-over from contractor to owner control, supervision, and coordination.
„h Final as-built drawings approval.
