2004~2005 Development Geologist, Bearspaw Petroleum Ltd. Calgary, Canada

* Detailed geological review of the Stettler D-2 and D-3 Pools, including subdividing reservoir zonations of the Nisku formation, correlating 130 wells and mapping porosity and net pay, generated reservoir fence diagrams and structure maps for each zone; recommended infill well locations; identified multiple candidate oil wells for work over operations.
* Evaluated Cretaceous oil/gas bearing formations in Central Alberta; mapped structure and net-pay for evaluating the remaining oil/gas potential of Basal Quartz pools of Campbell Namao and Morinville fields. Analyzed potential of the Cretaceous for Coal Bed Methane (CBM).
* Designed geological components of drilling programs for both horizontal and vertical wells.

2002~2003 Senior Geologist, CNPC-International Aktobe Petroleum, Kazakhstan

* Developed and implemented "the Development Plan of Kenkiyak Pre-salt Carbonate and Sandstone Over-Pressured Reservoirs" to establish yearly oil production of 13 mmbbls; our development team generated 41 development well locations, including 16 horizontal wells.
* Constructed sequence stratigraphic framework of Kenkiyak area; correlated and mapped the architecture of the Carboniferous Carbonate Platform; Integrated log facies, seismic facies and core analysis data; performed depositional facies interpretations of both clastic and carbonate strata; identified well-developed areas of limestone and sandstone reservoirs.
* Interpreted seismic data and developed a regional stratigraphic framework through detailed mapping and interpretation; delineated the fault control on the carbonate platform development.
* Evaluated both clastic and carbonate reservoirs; identified porous and fractured offsets of tight carbonate reservoirs; drilled 3 new wells producing more than 500 m3/d of oil in Kenkiyak Pre-salt Carbonate Reservoir, compared with old well production of 150 m3/d.
* Integrated well logs, 3-D seismic, core analysis, thin section petrology, well test and production data; estimated oil/gas reserves; generated 3-D reservoir models for reservoir simulation.
* Geologically detailed pilot cyclic-steam-injection area of Kenkiyak Supra-salt Cretaceous and Jurassic Heavy Oil Pools, Kazakhstan; analyzed the microfacies and microstructure of oil bearings; constructed geological modeling for reservoir simulation; evaluated the effect of cyclic steam injection on site based on production performance.

2000~2002 Senior Geologist, CNPC-International Aktobe Petroleum, Kazakhstan

* As a key member of the technical support team, implemented "the Infilling Drilling Program of Zhanazhol Carbonate Gas-Cap Reservoir"; participated in the geological integration for developing the gas cap. The group drilled 100 wells with 95% success rate and increased oil production by 15 mmbbls in 2 years.
* Correlated 500 wells; summarized the controls of argillaceous interbeds in carbonate reservoir for fluid distribution and flow; improved the understanding of oil/gas bearing distributions; optimized infilling well locations; adjusted injection–production strategies.
* Integrated well log data, 2-D seismic data and production data and discovered 2 faults controlling production model; confirmed by reservoir pressure data.
* Confirmed work over potential of suspended wells and low production wells; implemented suitable stimulation programs; increased yearly oil production by 1.3 mmbbls.
* Provided geological expertise to direct drilling, logging and completion activities.

1996~2000 Senior Geologist, CNPC-North China Oil Company, China

*Developed and implemented exploration programs in mature areas in the Bohai Bay Basin and the Erlian Basin; with my exploration group, drilled 16 wildcat wells and increased proven recoverable oil reserves by 80 mmbbls. Generated "the Geological Evaluation of Pinghu Gas Reservoir in the Eastern China Sea"; identified main gas pay and high-yielding well locations.
* Integrated log and seismic facies interpretations, lithofacies, and core analysis data; constructed sequence stratigraphic framework of study areas; interpreted depositional facies of oil/gas bearing strata; identified target areas.
* Constructed structures of potential faulted blocks using seismic data and well logs; assessed hydrocarbon potential of faulted block traps; generated drilling locations.
* Integrated depositional facies interpretation, structure analysis, reservoir evaluation and well test data; estimated oil/gas reserves of potential areas and new pools.

1990~1995 Geologist, CNPC-North China Oil Company, China

* Developed and implemented drilling programs of 3 new sandstone reservoir fields in the foothill belt of the Tuha Basin in western China; the team drilled about 550 development wells with 92.2% success rate and established yearly oil production of 13 mmbbls.
* Analyzed log facies, lithofacies and core analysis data; performed the depositional microfacies interpretation and flow unit subdivision of oil/gas-bearing sands; generated injection- production strategies.
* Accomplished well log correlation and seismic interpretation; constructed structure and cross section maps of potential faulted-blocks in the Bohai Bay Basin and the Tuha Basin.
