Project Engineer - Static Equipment Maintenance, SPDC of Nigeria. Jun.'94 - Jul.'97

Supervise all painting / scaffolding projects for SPDC's tank farms and Onshore/Offshore facilities. Instigate new coating applications / inspection for SPDC (East) Onshore/Offshore facilities such as flow stations, pipelines and manifolds. Provision of static equipment maintenance support service to SPDC (East)'s production department involving relief valves / process valves change out, statutory inspection on pressure vessels, heat exchangers, re-boilers and heaters, and minor structural repairs for on-shore / off-shore facilities. Team member for the decommissioning of flow stations. I ensured enforcement of health, safety and environment (HSE) policies, and maintenance and operation procedures/standards in the field by contractors. Develop, review and evaluate contractor competencies to do their work safely and without adverse impact on the environment. Preparation of project execution plan (PEP) involving cost estimation, work scope, strategy and schedule. Ensured the desired level of quality of work and materials are delivered on schedule time as per specifications.

Participated in the inspection of Bonny terminal crude oil storage tanks rehabilitation. I executed the quality control management involving inspection of maintenance painting of SPDC's production facilities (flow stations, manifolds and well heads). I inspected and certified erected / dismantled scaffolds used within SPDC. Structural inspection and painting of gas well heads. I supervised installation of cathodic protection system anodes and maintenance of Transformer rectifier / thermoelectric generator. I had executed cathodic protection monitoring involving Close interval potential survey (CIPS) and soil resistivity survey.
