DISSERTATION:
Study of High Temperature Properties of some Carbon Steels

For my senior year dissertation project, I worked under Dr. R. K. P. Singh on 'Study of High Temperature Properties of some Carbon Steels'. The aim of the project was to decide the most economic as well as apt material that could be used to meet the stress level and temperatures encountered in axles, bolts, fasteners, automatic transmission components, etc. For this purpose, data regarding various products and their end use were collected from few industries.
Following that, samples of interest were collected. These test samples were then subjected to tensile tests at elevated temperature using INSTRON. After compiling various test results, it was found out that a certain type of Cr-Mo Steels were the best suited for this purpose.

To search for an exact phrase, just put quotation marks around two or more words, for example "mining engineer". Use this feature to narrow your results or to find words that can be typed differently, for example AutoCAD "Auto CAD".
