November 98 till date

1) Opti Canada Long Lake Upgrader Project (Gasification Silo): Joined this project at about 35% CSA progress. Working on this project since Jan. 05. Supervising the team (Engineers & Designers) on Structural Steel engineering and design for pipe rack and process structures. Project involves extensive Modular engineering and my role is to help the team deliver as per Client's / Prime office's expectations. Also, performing the role of engineering checker.

2) Shell ULSD Project, Scotford and Montreal Refinery, Canada: Understood and transferred work from Calgary to New Delhi office. Worked as Lead Engineer (Civil/Structural) for both SCR and MER plants. Total CSA staff-hours (ND scope) comprised of about 18,000 hours (one year schedule). Supervised a group of 12 people for engineering and design efforts. Project involved engineering and design for pile & spread foundations, Steel structures (including stair modules), paving, manhole and catch-basin schedules. Project involved Seismic design and detailing as per CISC code for MER.

3) Syncrude UE-1 Project, Ft. McMurray, Alberta, Canada: Understood and transferred work from Calgary to New Delhi office. Worked as Deputy Area Lead for the Coker Area at New Delhi. Supervised a group of 22 people for engineering and design efforts (about 35,000 staff-hours). Project included extensive modularization including lifting & transportation analysis. Total no. of piles were approx. 650, concrete about 1800 Cu. Yds. & Steel approx. 3500 MT. Engineering workshare interface with SNC Lavalin, Canada.

4) Shell Athabasca Oil Sands Downstream Project, Ft. Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada: On deputation to Calgary. Worked as Area Engineer for the structural design related to piling, foundation and structural steel. Also acted as workshare coordinator between Calgary & New Delhi for all technical interfaces.

5) Irving Oil Limited, Refinery Upgrade Project, New Brunswick, Canada: Worked as Area Engineer for Cooling Tower Basin and Alkylation area.
