PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
* Preparation of Cost estimates of modification jobs to be executed in a Refinery.
* Preparation of general plot plans, unit plot plans, piping plans, stress analysis, isometrics, support mark up, support MTO and functional coordination.
* Detail engineering of jobs using PDS software. Conversant with Design review facility in PDS.
* Stress analysis using Caesar-II software.Conversant with API560 code for fired heaters, NEMA SM23 for steam turbines, API610 for pumps. Experience in stress analysis of high temperature lines in reformer area of ammonia plant and for sulphur recovery units.
* Preparation of schedule of piping activities for overall project. Estimation and control of manhours and material.
* Preparation of engineering specification of piping components, insulation, marking of piping components.
* Preparation of requisition of standard piping components and special piping components like expansion joints, goggle valves, isocheck valves, double disc slide valves, transfer line and decoking valves, catalyst ball and plug valves etc. Technical bid evaluation of offers from vendors, vendor drawing review and expediting of vendors.
* Technical coordination with client and or licensor, subcontractors, vendors.
* Coordination with site during construction phase of the project.

Working with KUWAIT NATIONAL PETROLEUM COMPANY
From Nov 2004 till date
Working as Mechanical Design Engineer with Kuwait National Petrochemicals. Actively involved in preparing studies for cost estimates, preparing tenders for refinery jobs and also carrying out modifications as required as per Operations requirement in the Shuaiba Refinery.

Working with TECNIMONT ICB
From March 2003 till Oct 2004
Working as lead for preparing Basic Design Package for 300kt/y PP Daqing, 200kt/y PP Dalian and 300kt/y PP Lanzhou plants coming up in China. Licensor is Basell.

From Dec 2002 till Feb 2003
Deputed to PP Polibrasil site in Maua, São Paolo Brazil for precommissioning activities of their polypropylene plant. Reporting to the construction manager at site. Carried out modifications as per Process Safety Review by licensor Basel.

Working for Tecnimont ICB as an area coordinator for the Polypropylene plant for PP Marun, Marun Petrochemicals, Iran. Leading a team of six people. This job was carried out in PDS.

4. Poly Propylene Malaysia-Random Co-polymer plant. The licenser is Union Carbide.

From December 1993 to September 1995
Worked with Toyo Engineering India LTD for the 105 tpd Sulfur Recovery unit as Design Engineer. The client is Mangalore Refineries and Petrochemicals LTD (MRPL) and the licenser is KTI (Italy).The process is the Claus/Unocal process. Carried out stress analysis of high temperature lines around the claus reactor, sulphur condensers, waste heat boilers and flare area.

From December 1991 to Dec 1993
Worked with TEIL for 2500 TPA Extreme Pressure Additive (EPA) plant as Design Engineer.EPA is used in manufacture of special cutting oils. The licenser is Lubrizol Corporation,USA.
