Working as Global specialist-Ammonia in a multinational fertilizer company.
1999, Nov - 2006
Working as Shift Superintendent (Shift Manager) in for the 1350 MTPD Ammonia Plant based on Halder Topsoe Technology and 740 MTPD CO Plant based on Air Products Technology. This is a grass-root project located in the integrated petrochemical complex. The Products are Oxo gas, CO gas and ammonia. This Plant was commissioned in December,2000.

I have commissioned all three units as Commissioning In charge: Important jobs include:
- Detailing of DCS (CENTUM CS 3000), Site Acceptance Test and Commissioning.
- Commissioning of high speed cetrifugal compressors,Turbines using CCC control from USA.
- Commissioning of heavy duty reciprocating compressors.
- Commissioning of natural gas treatment section, high duty reformer and pre-reformer,co2 removal unit, ammonia synthesis unit, boilers, cooling towers.
- Loading of tower packing, reactor catalysts and mol sieve dryers.
- Commissioning of Cold Box for separation of H2 and CO gas. This is very new of this kind.
- Commissioning of PSA unit for purification of H2.
Other Responsibilities:
- Trouble shooting of process problems.
- Responsible for Safe and Efficient Plant operation, quality control, co-ordination among other petrochemical units.
- Overall in charge of plants in shift and responsible for taking quick decision.
- preparing material balance, monthly report and energy audit of the plant etc.
- planning of shift manpower, start up and shut down schedule, annual turn around etc.
- prepared Operating Manual for the whole plant, start up/shut down check list, emergency handling procedure.
- Training of operators, engineers, OJT.
- presently working as acting Operation manager and relieving Senior Manager –Operation.

1998-1999
worked as senior shift engineer for the 1350 mtpd ammonia plant in INDIA taking charge of total plant. Important jobs performed during this period are as under:
- Guarantee Test Run of the newly commissioned plant.
- Operation of whole plant.
- Trouble shooting of the plant in CO2 removal Area, Methanation Area and Ammonia Recovery Area successfully and got Good Innovation Award from the Employer.
- Operation of Gas Turbine, 3 nos Boilers.
- Training of new operators and Engineers.
- Replacement of Pre-reformer Catalyst in nitrogen atmosphere.
- Detailing, testing and Commissioning of DCS (Centum-CS) for 1100 MTPD Kellog based Ammonia Plant during end of this period.

1995-1998:
- worked as Area Manager (process) in Halder Topsoe for 1350mtpd Ammonia Expansion project in INDIA. Important jobs performed during the period are as under.
- Basic engineering
- Detailed engineering
- Preparation of P &ID
- Procurement of process packages including furnace, exchangers, reactors etc
- Finalisation of vendor packages and review of P&ID.
- Detailinng of DCS (CENTUM-CS) and ESD (PLC Based),Factory Acceptance Test, Site Acceptance Test and commissioning.
- Pre-commissioning and Commissioning of all the Areas including Boilers, Gas Turbine and Compressors.
- Commissioning of Cooling Water and water treatment plant using Nalco treatment process.
- Sustained Load test.
I have received a letter of appreciation from Halder Topsoe A/S.

1992-1995:
worked as Shift Engineer taking charge of 1100 mtpd ammonia plant in India. Major jobs performed are as following apart from managing the shift:
- Revamping of CO2 removal Unit using UOP Technology of USA and subsequent commissioning.
- Revamping of Ammonia Converter using Casale Technology and subsequent commissioning.
- Carrying out modification work based on operating experiences and plant study.
- Training of operators and engineers.

1988- 1992:
worked as Assistant Shift Engineer (Operation) in both ammonia and urea plant in India. worked independently in hydrotreater (sulphur removal) area, final desulphurisation, reforming, high and low temperature shift conversion area (co conversion to co2), methanation, high pressure ammonia synthesis area and refrigeration area in Kellog Ammonia Plant.
- worked in control panel.
- co-ordination all jobs between panel and field and.
- start up and shut down activities, catalyst loading and unloading, tower loading and unloading etc.
- Revamping of Top Fired Reformer and its commissioning.
- handled many plant emergencies successfully.
- trained new operators and engineers.
- Prepared material and energy balance, monthly reports regularly.
- operated waste heat and auxiliary Boilers.
