Development Geologist, Balikpapan Indonesia
— Development & Operation Geologist of Tunu Gas Field located at the Lower Delta Plain — Delta Front facies, in offshore Mahakam Delta, Kutei Basin, East Kalimantan.
The work included:
- Generated 2D Geological Models using CPS-3 software with deterministic method of Stratigraphic Unit 1-6 (75 layers). Defined facies with radial trend of bars and incorporated channel distribution. The results were performed in net sand map and porosity map. Define each layer into several Geological Pressure Unit (GPU) using pressure plot; resulting net pay map and water saturation map. Also performed volumetric calculations capturing uncertainty ranges. The results were used as a reference to build framework in 3D geological modeling.
- Generated 3D Geological Models with deterministic method of Stratigraphic Unit 1-6 with 75 layer (software used: Petrel). Completed facies modeling of channel and bar, as well as property modeling of porosity and water saturation.
- Proposed and prepared both grid and infill wells, sidetrack wells, and deepening wells; including provide pre-drill pore pressure prediction. Monitored wells being drilled by supervising wellsite geologist and mudlogger, including well correlation using LWD and mudlogging data. Also controlling wireline and picking MDT points and/or Fluid Analysis. Decision maker while drilling process and to be aware with overpressure zone. Lead the fluid status meeting for wells had been drilled with Petrophysicist and Reservoir Engineers; resulting good marker and correct fluid status in each wells.
- Generated and analyzed pressure maps and correlate between overpressure zones versus stratigraphic marker in order to deal with high pressure and high temperature reservoirs. Analysis which performed as pressure maps have identified overpressure above particular values. Cross plot between pressure data and shelf break that indicate a high pressure zone.
- Wrote-up post-drilled annual well report and analyzed all well; incorporating operation lesson learned (problems, operation history, etc.) as well as comparison between prognosis and actual results.
- Data management incorporating various geological and operation data, including query, QC and uploading to workstation applicatrions (CPS-3 and Geolog 6).
- Junior Geologist of Handil Oil & Gas Field located at the Upper Delta Plain environment, offshore Mahakam Delta, Kutei Basin, East Kalimantan.
- Generate 2D Geological Model using CPS-3 software focusing in internal architecture and hydrocarbon trapping at Shallow Zone (R0-08 — R0-9); resulted net sand maps and detailed facies evolution maps.
- Stratigraphic study in Shallow Zone including facies analysis, well interpretation and correlation. It was also defined 4th order markers using sequence stratigraphic frameworks, differentiated bar to channel facies and interpreted zone of interest based on log data.
