- Development of Mathematical Models to predict the fluid pressure losses as function of fluid properties, tubing and rod sizes.
- Considerations about running a PC Pump under Pumping-Off conditions. Carried out extensive simulation tests under operating conditions. The associated findings of this study allows to break up old paradigms concerning the application of PC Pumps. 1998 to date. Presented a Paper about this subject during the SPE ATW – 2001 Puerto la Cruz.
- Development and Performing Simulation Tests to Determine the Pressure Distribution Along the PC Pump Stator to Predict the Fail Mode Associated to Run Dry or High GOR. Mono-Phase (Liquid) and Dual-Phase (Liquid & Gas) Fluid Simulations. Started 2000.
- Developing comparative studies between tight and loose fit rotor/stator configurations and modeling starting torque x running torque: a prospective tool to predict the PC Pump performance in the field.
