PROFILE OF EXPERIENCE
Construction
* Be fully familiarized with the contract requirements, policies and procedures and ensure that those requirements relating to the site operations are implemented.
* Review inter-disciplinary interfaces and follow-up with the Engineering team
* Review and clarify the Technical / Engineering queries of the various Sub-Contractors
* Check and review and ensure that all the field design modification / changes, Contract Engineering Data Sheets are processed and recorded.
* To ensure that Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and quality policy is understood and implemented by all supervised staff and project contractors
* Review of the Project procurement Materials with the concurrence to the relevant design and drawings
* Review, Coordinate and monitor the manufacturing Plans of the various vendors and contractors, give them the target dates based on overall Project plan and also make inspections during the fabrication stage.
* Review the FAT Punch List and follow up its clearance process.
* Project planning and scheduling of Construction to link up with other infrastructure facilities and hand over.
* Make, Review and implement Method statements for execution of construction.
* Review and Monitor the Rigging methodologies with job safety analysis made and implemented by the contractors.
* Push and make improvements for achieving the various milestones and targets during the construction stage.
* Issue reports figuring the daily, weekly and monthly progress.
* Coordination with Client, Vendors, Plant Personnel, Other Departments and Contractors.
* Ensure that all the Non-Conformance reports issued during the procurement and construction phase are closed promptly by the responsible group.
* Make and publish and sign off the Mechanical & Piping punch list.
* Implement and maintain safety Standards and codes.
* Identify the back charges and ensure to notify the concerned contractors of the deviations.
* Issue of Field instructions, make change orders and progress valuations
* Review and ensure the contractors compliance with all quality plans, Procedures, Inspection Test Plans, Erection completion packages in coordination with the QC Dept.
Commissioning
* Prepare & review of the Commissioning procedures and schedules.
* Prepare and review all the technical documents made according to the Project Specifications.
* Reviewing specifications and procurement requirements to ensure that adequate provisions have been made for testing, flushing, cleaning and other Pre-Commissioning activities.
* Prepare, review and complete all Commissioning check lists as per specifications.
* Review the system & subsystem markup made by process and make changes if required.
* Prepare & list the Mechanical documentation required for preparation of the Commissioning Dossier.
* Preparation of the Pre-Commissioning punch list publish and signing off the Mechanical punch list.
* Perform checkout, cleaning and commissioning tasks on various equipments.
* Carry out / Witness Gross and HP Leak Tests.
* Review & Plan the commissioning / Warranty period spares list and make changes according to requirement.
* Plan the Critical Commissioning and Operational spares.
* Ensure that adequate care and maintenance / preservation are being carried out.
* Supervise the assigned Construction Craft labour.
* Compilation of the maintenance data for review and analysis.
* Preparation of the Preventive, Shutdown Maintenance schedules and activities.
* Prepare, publish commissioning snag list & ensure its points closure.
* Participate in the Facility Performance and acceptance testing and hand over of the plants.
* Fully Familiar with Equipment (all types of Pumps, Compressors, Turbines, Columns etc) maintenance activities.

AFTER COMMISSIONING OF THE PROJECT: 1989-1997
I was transferred to the Central Maintenance Workshop. Some of my responsibilities were
* Planning of day to day as well as annual turnaround jobs
* Trouble shooting of rotating equipments.
* Standardization of maintenance procedures etc.
* Development of indigenous vendors for imported spares.
* Preparation and implementation of preventive maintenance & lubrication schedules.
* Shutdown planning and co-ordination with the contractor.
KNOWLEDGE / TRAINING
a) Training on improving pumping system and seal reliability for Centrifugal Pumps.
b) Familiar with Equipment & Piping codes and standards.
c) Safety Inducted for H2S, safety & fire fighting procedures.
