ENGINEER/SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER 09/80 – 10/2002
Lone Star Pipeline/TXU Pipeline Company Dallas, TX

Responsible for design and project management for all types of natural gas transmission facilities, including: pipelines, compressor stations, dehydration plants, metering and regulator stations, odorizer installations, and pipeline pigging facilities. Performed design calculations, prepared engineering drawings, worked with TI/SIMATIC and Allen-Bradley PLC programming, wrote specifications for all major equipment and contractors, requisitioned all materials and prepared environmental permitting documents. Project management responsibilities included tracking budget, project scheduling, material deliveries and supervising contractors and inter-company workforces.

Accomplishments:
* Designed, implemented and built $20 million Bethel Storage Compressor Station and Withdrawal Facilities (8,300 HP compressor installation and dehydration and flow control facilities capable of 750 MMSCFD withdrawal rate). Allowed for increased peak-day capacity during maximum demand periods, which led to increased customer satisfaction.

* Led installation of $8 million Howard Compressor Station (8,600 HP compressor station consisting of two Solar Centaur T4700 gas turbines driving centrifugal compressors), saving $1 million through utilization of gas turbines. Played instrumental role in decision to install gas turbines. Increased capacity to transport gas by 50 MMCFD per day.

* Managed installation of $12 million Maryneal Compressor Station (13,200 HP compressor station with one Solar Mars TI5000S gas turbine driving a centrifugal compressor), which increased gas transportation capability by I50 MMCFD.

* Led installation of $7 million Iola Compressor Station (5,700 HP compressor station with one Solar Taurus T6500S gas turbine driving centrifugal compressors), which increased gas transportation ability by 50 MMCFD.

* Designed $16 million 30-inch pipeline and Meter Station project, which supplies 350 MMCFD to the ANP Power Plant in Ellis County, TX.

* Designed and project managed the installation of 16 high-speed reciprocating compressor units ranging in size from 60 - 3,300 HP.

* Designed and managed numerous natural gas pipeline projects, including measurement, regulation, separation, conventional and directionally drilled highway, river, and railroad crossings, instrumentation and controls, and odorization.
