I am a passionate technical professional who seeks new challenges. Having worked with Al Furat Petroleum Company, a Shell joint venture in Syria, I have been exposed to new technology and Shell Expatriates and would now like to broaden my technical experience outside Syria. I have a strong operational background along with experience of developing junior staff and managing Petrophysical contracts. I seek new opportunities where I can leverage this experience.

CAREER HISTORY
2000 - Now Head of the Petrophysical Department in AFPC. My responsibilities are:
* Head of department with 8 Petrophysicists. Accountable for evaluation of ca. 60 open hole evaluations and 100 cased hole evaluations per year. Responsible for development and mentoring of 2 younger Petrophysical staff and organizing training and lateral learning. Focal point for the national staff development of 125 staff in Technical Petroleum Engineering Department.
* Wire line logging and perforation contract holder and manager, valued at ca. $13 million per year. Focal point for core analysis services contract worth $500K per year. Active contribution in logging and core analysis tender preparation and evaluation exercises. Negotiations with service companies (logging and core analysis contracts).
* As on going special challenge supported implementation of new logging e.g. NMR, slim hole sonic, OBMI, LWD, RST for fresh water evaluation, DEFT and Ghost and evaluation technologies for horizontal wells. Optimizing log and core data acquisition and evaluation strategies for open hole and cased hole wire line logs vs. LWD logging programs.

1995-2000 Deputy of Petrophysics Department head in AFPC
* In Addition to the previous operation responsibility (1992-1995).
* Focal point for wire line logging services contract and Core analysis services contract valued at $6 million for both contracts.
* Coordinated comprehensive Petrophyscial field reviews for 5 fields, including open hole log evaluation, core analysis.
* Lead team of 4 people for one oil fields with production of 5000 bbl/day. Carried out a field review creating a field development.
* Carried out a number of technical and safety audits for wire line and core analysis contracts.
* Member of Petroleum Engineering safety committee.

1992-1995 Senior Petrophysicist in AFPC.
* Responsible for several AFPC fields for all petrophysical operations and formation evaluations within the integrated field teams.
* Open hole and cased hole logging evaluation using LOGIC (Shell Petrophysics software)
* The LOGDB (Schlumberger digital logging database).

1990-1992 Petrophysicist in Syria Petroleum Company (SPC). Logging Analyst in the Exploration Department of SPC using ELAN (Schlumberger Petrophysics software)
