A Drilling Engineer with expertise in drilling rig supervision, development of drilling, work-over and abandonment procedures. Excellent interpersonal skills combined with the ability to work collaboratively with other team members have been my formidable strengths in an environment where communication is equally as important as professional ability.
Working in a team that is responsible for all aspects of well construction in support of affiliate business plans and strategies, my role and experience has been in planning, writing and reviewing drilling, work-over and abandonment procedures, supervising drilling operations on offshore rigs on development wells (horizontal, vertical and deviated wells).
The opportunity to work on several challenging projects both onshore and offshore, on Drill Ships, Semi-Submersible, Jack-up and Land rigs, has engendered the development of the requisite in-depth technical skills complemented with the ability to understand project objectives and carry out post job performance review which have proven to be invaluable assets to a successful project.

Drilling Engineer

* Provide inputs for the development and review of drilling and work over procedures.
* Supervising and coordinating of rig activities including drilling, completions, and work over operations to ensure that the project objectives are met in a safe, cost effective and timely manner.
* Responsible for providing shore base with daily drilling/completions reports using the Drilling Information System for Windows (DISWIN).
* Supervising of Service Contractors at work site and inspection of completed projects while assessing personnel competency and equipment suitability for post job review and recommendation.
* Coordinating logistics operations including boat scheduling, equipment and personnel requirements both onshore and offshore to facilitate an efficient and cost effective operation.
* Monitoring of daily project cost analysis to ensure optimal use of available resources.
* Adhere to relevant management systems and procedures and contribute actively to their review and improvement, including functional administration/stewardship of specific manuals and procedures.
* Carrying out full engineering analysis of rig site data and regular well reports
* Prepare and review post well documentation of data and events with emphasis on capturing lessons learned and improvements for use in post job analysis, review and planning.
* Ensure safe work within own group and area while encouraging others to do the same and contribute actively to achieve a flawless operation.

Drilling Services Engineer

* Requirements gathering from Clients and Sponsors for development of formation evaluation procedures.
* Working closely with the geosteering and client geology teams in formation response modelling
* Involved in the running of formation evaluation tools for nuclear services, Sonic while drilling services, resistivity and natural formation Gamma ray services, real time imaging, real time formation transient time computations, drilling mechanics and pore pressure analysis.
* Responsible for Data quality control and validation at the well site.
* Ensure timely post well documentation of data and events with emphasis on capturing lessons learned and improvements for use in post job analysis, review and planning.
* Attending pre-job meetings with Clients to determine service objectives and post-job meetings to review performance.
* Reviewing and appraising the performance of subordinates, consistent with performance objective and determining the need for additional training.
* Responsible for the implementation of Client and Company safe practices, policies and objectives while reviewing, appraising subordinates and applying corrective actions where necessary.

* Involved in preparation of tools and equipment for gravel packing sand control services.
* Development of procedures for sand control and consolidation programs using gravel pack methods.
