EXPERIENCE:

Arabian Gulf Oil Company Benghazi, Libya
Staff Drilling Operations 1997 to 2001
Scope: Supervised drilling operations, workover and completion of development, exploration, deep, shallow, vertical and horizontal oil wells. Worked as a company man and drilling Superintendent.
* Worked as a Field drilling Supervisor (Head of Field Drilling Department) to run 4 drilling & workover rigs- consulted on operations, requirements, administration and trouble-shooting.
* Applied engineering / operational practice to successfully implement drilling & workover programs.
* Successful supervision of a project for drilling and completion of 10 horizontal wells along with implementing Coiled Tubing technology to kick-off natural production
* Assisted subordinates and supervisors in identifying and resolving problems.
* Provide technical consultation during drilling operations to resolve problems such as bore directional change, unsatisfactory drilling rate, mud engineering, system and materials.
* Advised substitution of drilling mud compounds and tool bits to improve drilling conditions.
* Implement the use of computerized forms for daily drilling reports and other technical forms.
* Executed and followed up daily operations of drilling and workover rigs.
* Serve as a company representative to liaison with contractors.
* Respond to written and telephone calls of superiors and contractors.
* Identified problems, diagnosed causes and determined corrective actions.

North Oil Company Kirkuk, Iraq
Chief Engineer 1995 to 1996
Scope: Assistant of Field Division Manager for the upstream technical and administrative activities.
* Organize the activities of Drilling, Geology, R & D and Reservoir Engineering departments.
* Unified plans, programs and requirements of the above departments for short and long terms.

* Answered questioner and requirement of higher authorities for specific needs and plans.

Scope: Worked as Drilling Operations Manager.
* Followed up and supervised drilling operations throughout Mid-North Iraq.
* Co-coordinated with drilling contractors the execution of drilling contracts.
* Negotiated terms of drilling contracts and contractor's agreements.
* Supplied drilling materials to well site locations with out any delays.
* Revised drilling programs, well designs and trouble-shooting of well problems.
* Helped oversee all aspects of drilling operations & engineering for the head of drilling department.

Unit Mud Engineer 1988 to 1990
Scope: Supervised and controlled mud engineering and operations for 17 drilling rigs.
* Follow up of daily mud engineering & operations all over Mid-North Iraq area.
* Supplied and advised the use of mud materials for different kinds of drilling fluids.
* Designed drilling fluids programs as an integral part of the drilling program.
* Standardized, specified and approved drilling fluids materials: specifications & purchase approval.
* Applied & implemented the use of national mud materials instead of imports: as a part of team helped in specifications, field tests & approval to use national Bentonite & Calcium Carbonate.
* Changed mud system in many oil fields to eliminate hole problems and reduce drilling time & cost.

Drilling Engineer 1983 to 1987
Scope: Worked as a Drilling Supervisor (Company Representative) and Mud Engineer.
* Worked as Company Man to Supervise & follow up the daily drilling operations & requirements, on wellsite, of drilling contractors on development and exploration oil and gas wells.
* Supervised contractors: Saipem, Bulgargeomine, Stroje Export, RomePetrol and ADWOC.
* Controlled drilling fluids operations, worked as a Mud Engineer on wellsite.
