1999 - 2005 Petrophysicist in AFPC (Al Furat Petroleum Company), Damascus, Syria.
I have had various field responsibility during the last 8 years, and I have been involved in all 38 fields that AFPC operates, with specific responsibilities for:
- Responsible for all petrophysical activities for sixteen major fields, with in total about 150 wells and a production of 81000 bbl/d
- Member of multidisciplinary sub-surface team charged with evaluation of all producing assets and non producing assets and making recommendations for further development.
- Planning and coordination of wireline jobs.
- Evaluation of logs (open hole/cased hole) in several different fields of varying lithologies (limestone, sandstones, dolomites, Volcanics, etc).
- PLT and TDT experience, surveillance program of about 80 PLT/TDT logs per year.
- CMR evaluation in several different fields of varying lithologies.
- Planning and interpretation of core analysis (including SCAL).
- Establishing Petrophysical Evaluation Parameters as part of various petrophysical field reviews using log and core data.
- Providing basic reservoir properties as member of integrated field study teams and assistance in reservoir modeling.
- Contributing to field studies in an integrated studies team I have done several field studies AYA, JAZ, ISH.
- QC & evaluation of wireline logs (open hole and cased hole).
- Petrophysical field reviews.
- Special tasks: Carbonate Formation Evaluation (in shallow wells)
- Permeability Modeling, Saturation Height Functions and Uncertainty Modeling.
- Consistent performance record; ranked as "very good"
- Fully conversant with SHELL petrophysical evaluation software LOGIC and strong knowledge in IT.
