An experienced Instrument/Electrical Supervisor involved in all aspects of electrical and instrument installation, testing and commissioning/maintenance of plant and equipment in the process plant, offshore and metallurgical industries.

EXPERIENCE
July 2004 – present.
BP West Azeri Project. Azerbaijan
Recruited as Instrument Technician/Coach. Initially based in the SPS Construction Yard in Baku, Azerbaijan for 14 months. Continued offshore carrying out operation and commissioning duties. Involved with the writing and reviewing of commissioning test procedures, CMAS training plans and setting up of spares requirement pre/post first oil. Tri/Bi-Party inspection of all instrument equipment as required by BP GOC. ABB DCS system, Man Turbo Flash Gas Compressors, Rolls Royce RB211Turbines commissioning and testing of loops and logic control. All utility systems witnessed for the client prior to sail away.
Achievements-Part of the team whosuccessfully brought 1st oil online 4 months ahead of target date.Set up systems to assist national technicians with their day to day work.

January 2001- July 2004.
Petronas Oil Yetagun Project. Myanmar
Recruited as Senior Instrument Technician. Based offshore Myanmar on the Yetagun platform. Work involves training nationals to become familiar with the offshore environment and carrying out tasks within the instrument field. These include maintenance, fault finding and platform input to the onshore and project engineering teams. These are to high standards required for this project due to the small size of the operations team. I was required to write procedures as well as implement and review new maintenance procedures as the field progresses through its life span. I was also involved with ongoing projects to increase plant gas export from 140mscfd to 420mscfd. I have also been standing in as Maintenance Supervisor due to the high workload during the phase II & III construction work we are going through. This role included supervision of a multi ethic team for 4 different countries co-ordinating commissioning and operation/maintenance teams. I was also involved with implementing the MP2 maintenance system to a workable system offshore. I also assess the nationals to an Australian standard. A member of the emergency management team. Working with Solar Mars/Taurus Turbines, Man Turbo Compressors and Delta V DCS System
Achievements-Successfully integrated with the national staff.
Gained the recognition of Senior Management to allowing me to progress to the Maintenance Supervisor role. I also managed to carry out the Lead Instrument Technicians role as well during this time due to bedding restraints.
Involved with the Phase II & III upgrades. Provided extensive input from the offshore side of the operation.
Trained all the Instrument Nationals to a standard where they are left to carry out their duties to a very high standard.

February 1999- January 2001.
AGIP Oil & Gas Ltd. Libya
Recruited as staff in the role of Senior Instrument Technician. Based offshore on the Bouri Field DP3 & DP4. Work included on the job training of nationals to perform their duties in line with North Sea standards. Duties included time working on SPM Tanker and other platforms associated with Bouri Field.

February 1995-February 1999.
Kvaerner Oil & Gas Ltd. South Korea/UK
Recruited as staff. Part of the core operations team for the BP Harding Project. Initially based at McDermott's Engineering offices at Wembley, assembling and writing commissioning and maintenance procedures for the genetic TPG 500 Jack-Up. Moved to HHI yard, Ulsan, South Korea for 6 months. Work scope involved inspection, supervision, witnessing of all instrument control equipment. Signing off vendor packages and punch listing of all equipment and responding quickly to resolve design and installation problems on a project with an extremely high schedule. Responsible for the co-ordination of a number of teams of Korean Technicians, working in the site office as well as a hands on approach with the technicians. Platform moved to NC yard, Hinna, Norway further commissioning work completed before mobilisation to offshore location. Instrument systems include ABB C.M.S.S., Cooper Rolls Turbines, Delaval Stork Compression package and Spectra-Tek metering. Fire team member, Coxswain and Emergency Management Team Member. 1st oil, gas compression, water injection and gas injection brought online to BP procedures.
Achievements-Completed all work safely and successfully on time.Gained the co-operation of Korean workforce, maintaining their work rate and high quality standards.
Stand in as offshore team leader responsible for the day to day running of operations and maintenance of the platform, reporting to the offshore operations engineer.

March 1991-January 1995.
OREX ENGINEERING LTD.

Worked as a Control Technician offshore as part of a specialised maintenance team. I was based on BP Cleeton. Seven satellite platforms to maintain. These are all gas fields. The three-man team was involved with breakdown maintenance and any commissioning of new plant modifications. Equipment worked on includes, Daniel's fiscal metering, Bentley Nevada vibration, S.C.A.D.A. And Hydraulic control panels for wellheads. Other duties included first aid, platform fire fighting team and lifeboat coxswain.
Achievements-Part of a successful small team which raised & maintained performance standards while meeting quality & cost targets.Involved in maintenance strategy to cut down on unnecessary workloads within legislative guidelines.

August 1990-March 1991
OREX ENGINEERING LTD.
Commissioning Team Member on the Arco Wellend Project, involved in all aspects of inspection and witnessing of control loops. Work scope includes Bailey Control System.

January 1990-July 1990.
P.R.S. LTD.
Employed as Instrument Technician working offshore and in T.H.C. Fabrication yard involved in commissioning of Ravenspurn North Gas platform including loop checking on the T.D.C. 3000 System. Onshore work included hydraulic testing on ESD sub sea valves for MOBIL, CHEVRON, SHELL and STENA companies.

September 1989-January 1990.
SOLUS OCEANEERING, North Field Development, Qatar
Employed as Lead Instrument/Electrical Inspector, seconded to the Bechtel Consulting Team. Responsible for the inspection and quality assurance of all associated equipment on valve and pigging stations. Requested to supervise the installation of the pipeline cathodic protection.

February 1982-September 1989.
Contract Instrument/ Electrical Technician, Engineer for Haigh & Ringrose, Lasalle, Weir Pumps and Idec Engineering.
Saudi Arabia - Dawadmi
Site Instrument/Electrical Engineer responsible for the installation and commissioning of a water treatment plant and pumping station. Multinational workforce and contractor co-ordination experience with requirement to supply weekly progress reports and punch lists. Work includes transformers, chlorination injection equipment, gas detection panel and standard pressure, flow and level loops.
UK- B.S.C.-REDCAR.
Instrument Technician working on the Redcar Blast Furnace rebuild. Installation and loop checking of R.T.D.'s, T.C.'s. Transferred to the commissioning team for final control room start up checks.
