EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE:
1996 - GROWTH OIL AND GAS, Richardson, Texas - Consultant,

* Provided technical review for basin assessments on the North Slope of Alaska, including Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska to the United Stated Geological Survey. Assisted in Team and Technology Assessment, Play definitions, play and prospect risk analysis, and developing analogue field examples for each of the plays. Recently evaluated a drilling prospect, potentially containing up to 300 million barrels, offshore Alaska for a client.
* Currently involved in a project for one of the super-majors to assess most favorable basins worldwide for continuous resources such as basin-centered gas, coalbed methane, and shale gas.
* Chaired the American Association of Petroleum Geologists' Committee on Resource Evaluation. Member of the subcommittee that endorsed the USGS methodology for continuous gas reservoirs and the chaired the subcommittee that endorsed the USGS methodology for World Petroleum Assessment. Also chaired the subcommittee that reviewed the Outer Continental Shelf assessment methodology used by the Minerals Management Service.
* Part of the team that taught a graduate course in Petroleum Geology at University of Texas, Dallas in Fall, 2004. Covered basin and risk analysis and business aspects of the oil business. Taught a 2-day "Distinguished Speakers" class in Petroleum Geoscience at Ellison Miles Geotechnology Institute, Brookhaven College in May, 2005.
* Completed an assessment of the Namibian continental margin in defining their United Nations approved "Exclusive Economic Zone".
* Carried out regional exploration evaluation of some of the Brazilian offshore basins for a Major oil company and designed regional multiclient 2-D and 3-D seismic surveys for a major seismic contractor for Brazil, Uruguay, and Argentina. Carried out data review, prospect development, risk and economic analysis and proposal writing along with partner negotiations for a variety of Brazilian exploration and development projects.
* For a major Russian oil company, assessed the Russian part of the Chukchi Shelf for hydrocarbon potential and performed resource evaluation in part of West Siberian Basin. Directed the resource assessment and prospect evaluation for this company's acreage in the West Siberian Basin. Also carried out resource assessment of license and non-license areas for a Russian oil company and identified plays with potential of up to 5 billion barrels. Identified targets to pursue within these plays.
* Provided an assessment of the exploration technology and organizational structure to INTEVEP (Research arm of PDVSA, Venezuelan National Oil Company).
* Developed a CD-ROM containing exploration data for all the U.S. basins at 40-acre "cells". Managed the entire U.S. (500,000 acres) mineral portfolio for a major U.S. insurance company.

Manager, Exploration Research and Technical Services, Managed the worldwide exploration research program and provided technical services to all the ARCO upstream companies.
Manager, Worldwide Development Geoscience, Assessed the geoscience technology as it was being applied to the company's worldwide development and development new venture projects.
Manager, North Alaska Exploration, Managed the exploration program for the North Slope of Alaska, onshore and offshore. Conducted systematic evaluation of the entire onshore and offshore North Alaska basin. Led the team that discovered almost 400 million barrels onshore and offshore North Slope of Alaska. Developed a prospect inventory as a five-year rolling plan with a goal of drilling three to four major exploratory wells per year.
Manager, Alaska Development Geoscience, Managed the development geoscience for Prudhoe, Kuparuk, and Lisburne fields representing more than 20% of the U.S. daily production (approximately 1.5 million barrels a day). Supervised a team of geologists and geophysicists and worked closely with reservoir and production engineers in developing new ideas for field extension and secondary and tertiary recovery projects. Supervised full-field 3-D surveys and evaluations and promoted closely integrated multidisciplinary teamwork.
Senior Staff Geologist, Area Geologist, Senior Geologist, and Senior Research Geologist, Dallas, Midland, and Denver- In various research, line and staff positions generated, reviewed, and presented to management various exploration projects in Rockies, Mid-Continent, West Texas, and other parts of western U.S.
