I am seeking an international position, preferably on a rotating schedule. I have 24 plus years of oilfield experience as both Mud Engineer ( 16 years ) and Senior Mud Engineer ( 8 years ) in onshore as well as offshore. I have been working in ONGC, the leading Oil Exploration and Production Company of India as Chief Chemist. Mud Engineers in our company are designated as Chemist. Presently, I am working as Mud Engineer in Farsi Block, Persian Gulf, on special assignment from OVL ( ONGC Videsh Ltd. ).
I am having M.Sc. degree in Chemistry ( Gold Medallist ) and also have carried out one and half years of research in Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India for Ph.D. I believe these qualification coupled with my field experience have provided me with the tools and abilities necessary to confront a diversity of Mud problems. I am very adaptable to changing projects and work schedules. Being energetic, I really enjoy going to work everyday, but am also always up for a new set of challenges.
In addition, I have excellent planning and organizational skills as well as excellent rapport with my higher supervisors and co-workers. You will find me, I work well under pressure, am an effective problem solver and a conscientious and reliable worker.

WORK EXPERIENCE
Have M.Sc (Chemistry) qualification with 16 years of experience as Mud Engineer and 8 years of experience as Senior Mud Engineer.
Worked both in onshore and offshore on various water base mud (Gel / Polymer, CL-CLS, KCl – Polymer, KCl–PHPA, KCl–PHPA Glycol, KCl-Polymer Glycol, KCl-Salt-CaCO3-Glycol, Non Damaging Drilling Fluid, low solids polymer, Salt water, Lime,) and oil base mud (Black Magic system, Versadril and SYN-TEQ)
Have got good knowledge and a sound understanding of most drilling fluid systems - various oil base mud (Versadril, Versaclean), invert oil mud, low toxic oil mud, pseudo oil base mud (eg. XP-07), Escaid 110, SYN-TEQ Synthetic oil mud
Also got knowledge about various water base mud (Spersene /XP–20,Gyp, K-Mag, Duratherm, Durogel, Polyplus, Gyp / Ligno, Pyrodrill, Bio-Drill, Aquadrill, various Brines) and Non damaging mud (Baradril-N, Quickdril-N and Sheardril-N)
Have good understanding of Drilling, Work over and Drill –in fluid products
Planning and preparing drilling fluid programme, introduction of new mud system, its execution and monitoring on day to day basis. Able to provide technical support to proponents in Drilling and Work over Engineering in the area of designing and formulation of cost effective Drilling and Completion fluids. Trouble shooting of drilling rig problems related to drilling fluids should the need arise. Introducing new drilling and completion fluids for extended reach, horizontal, multilateral wells and drain holes. Monitoring of mud weight, properties and chemistry and ensuring they remain within recommended limits and as per required specifications.
Competent in preparing written reports and display good all-round computer literacy. Filing out various daily reports as per requirement, including oil on cutting data etc. Develop/ communicate rig specific fluids management plans. Writing re-caps for each well and completing post-well reports. Ensuring solids control equipment is working optimally. Ordering and maintaining inventories and Insuring safety / HSE in drilling fluids related areas on site.
Monitoring quality of Oil and Gas to be dispatched for maintaining optimum parameters in GGS and Production Installations. Monitoring of Effluent water and Injection Water quality and their treatment at Water Injection and Effluent Treatment plants. Execution of Gravel Pack Jobs and Polymeric Water Shut Off jobs in sick wells.
Worked closely with proponents, communicate effectively with field personnel.
Drilling Problems Encountered
Sloughing shale, Caving hole, Stuck pipe, Torque / drag, high deviation torque, Lost circulation, gas / salt water flow and kicks, fishing, Carbonate / bicarbonate and Anhydrite contamination, H2S gas, bit/stabilizer balling. High temperature and High pressure well.
