Joined as Petroleum Engineer in 1998 and was responsible for providing Production / Completion Engineering support for South Kuwait area of Greater Burgan Field (1 Gathering Center, 92 producing wells, 115 MBOPD).
Promoted to Sr. Petroleum Engineer in 2003 and control focal point for GC 9/10 in East
Burgan Field. Responsible for daily production of 235 MBOPD, 135 MMSCFD, and 37 MBWPD; manage and coordinate all Petroleum/Production Engineering activities related to completion, testing, stimulation and workover (Rigless and Rig); coordinate flowline construction and monitor voidage from 5 reservoirs (4 sandstone, one carbonate).
Major tasks include:
* Find opportunity for Infill development drilling, workovers, and wireline / CT plugbacks for production enhancement. Propose and prepare remedial work, completion design for conventional and non-conventional wells, preparing AFE and cost estimates for the same.
* Manage well & reservoir surveillance needs for GC09/10 area. Plan and recommends tests and surveys (e.g. PLT, PNC, PVT, RFT/MDT, Press Surveys etc) – analysis.
* Well test design and analysis with state of art software for transient analysis, Nodal analysis and production analysis for Oil, Gas and dump flood wells on regular basis.
* Implementation of water shut off jobs based on log analysis through workovers,
* Design, specification and operation of completion equipment such as packers, tubulars, artificial lift (Gas lift, ESP with Y-tool) and other downhole equipment.
* Maintain production deliverability and optimize to "load gathering centers" inline with best Reservoir Management System (RMS),
* Implement reservoir management practices in Wara Sandstone (minimize gas voidage), Water encroachment in 3 Sand Middle keeping voidage in line with balance production targets with demand,
* Contributed significantly to waterflood projects, design source well (compatibility testing), injection well, and producers,
* Provide "life cycle" support to project teams and updating development plans & forecasts
* Work with different oilfield chemistry related problems e.g. corrosion, scale and paraffin related problems

* Work with operations personnel to improve production and optimize wells. Continuously evaluate existing operational processes and recommend improvements. Assisting the production foreman and ensure that co's objectives are fully met efficiently and in a cost-effective manner with regards to quality, health, safety and the environment (HSE). Helping in modifying or expanding surface equipment to handle the changing production condition.

Major Achievements:
* Supervised and completed 26 new conventional & non-conventional wells. Proposed first MRC multilateral fishbone well in low perm carbonate reservoir in Kuwait. Coordinated well completion design and detailed testing & analysis. Well IP'd at 4,100 BOPD and led to field development with NCW's Mauddud reservoir in 2005.
* Incremental oil rate of about 12 MBOPD for fiscal year from rig and rigless operations; set and exceed increased oil rate goals,
* Identified existing facility bottlenecks and spare capacities within the plant and increased GC throughput to utilize well capacity of 10 MBPD wet oil
* Introduced Under Reamer Drilling with Coiled Tubing (avoided MRWO jobs)
* Applied Nodal Cement Squeeze tech. for Water shut off job successfully.
* Identified bypassed oil and proposed infill drilling to tap undrained reserves resulting in an incremental production of 14 MBOPD
* Built Nodal model and performed Nodal Analysis for all GC 21 completions (92 completions, 66 wellbores) executed de-bottlenecking and production optimization in the field,
* Lead "return to production review team" and brought back on 21 completions over a 4 year period resulting in a gain of 11 MBOPD.

Joined as a Field Engineer assigned to Bombay High mainly offshore Lst and Sst reservoir.
Promoted to Petroleum Engineer (Grade I) in 1991 and was responsible for providing Production / Reservoir Engineering support for Neelam and Bassein fields of Bombay Offshore (90 Wells, 80 MBOPD, 26 MMSCMD).
Promoted to Sr. Petroleum Engineer in 1993 and was responsible for providing Production and development of Bombay High Area covering 1 major field and 5 Satellite Fields (245 producers and 100 Injectors -300 MBOPD, 350 MBWPD).
Major tasks included:
* Regular monitoring of fields on production (Both production and injection) mainly reservoirs under waterflood. Optimize area production while managing operating cost.
* Well test planning, monitoring and data interpretation / Pressure transient analysis for most complex multi-layered reservoirs in Oil, Gas & Injection Wells (200 wells)
* Monitor and optimize waterflood performance which includes pattern review, additional perforations, water shut off and modified water injection strategy of multiplayer offshore field and reduce water recycling an optimize the operating and capital budget
* One year as Reservoir Engineer for conducting classical reservoir engineering studies (Decline curve analysis, Preparation and comparison of periodic isobars, Volumetric and material balance studies)
* Run hydrocarbon and production logs, BHP surveys, gravel pack, well tests, stimulation, perforating, coil tubing jobs, installation of gas lift system. Supervised 4 slickline units.
* Coordinating field operations, sick well analysis, and optimizing gas lift wells,
* Office work included: AFE preparation, preparation of procurement proposals/technical specifications for different tool / downhole equipments.
Major achievements:
* Proposed and completed first two horizontal wells in Bombay High North field (NR# 1 H, NS# 1H) and wells produced 2,000 BOPD each
* Revival of 14 sick wells by layer transfer / LDST in Bombay High Field.
* Applied graphical material balance for about 11 gas wells completed in multilayered field. The study indicated additional free gas and non-sealing nature of many geological faults, which resulted in additional gas, supply commitment to the industry.
* Use of pressure temp surveys and Nodal analysis to analyze and thereby optimize sub optimally flowing gas lift wells. This effort has yielded an enhancement of 4,500 BOPD for Bombay High field.
