OBJECTIVE

Process/Technical Engineer 2001 – Now
Scope of Duties:
1. Monitor plant and process equipments performance, provides technical service to other departments on a regular basis. Includes identifying problems and submitting reports with recommendations for a reliable and safe solution.
* Unit consumption
* Efficiency of furnace, compressor, pump, etc
* Deactivation rate of catalyst of dehydrogenation, alkylation and transalkylation
* Heat transfer coefficient of low velocity heat exchanger
* Performance of cation anion exchanger resin
* Performance of adsorbent on IA drying unit
* Etc
2. Provide trouble-shooting service for potential problems. Includes studies related to process problems, preparing test programs, analyzing results and submitting recommendations for solutions or presenting his findings and conclusions to parties concerned.
3. Review routine test and analysis results from laboratory, identifies and analyses deviations and unusual trends, interprets reasons in terms of operations and submits conclusions to Production Department.
4. Define a project or optimize unit operation to save energy and reduce operating cost.
5. Assigned to a task force to work on a project.

6. Reviews and proceed management of change of feedstock, chemical, catalyst, operating condition, including modification or new equipment or minor changes initiated by our department and or other Departments and recommends approval or suggest alternative solutions. Continue to monitor modifications from conception through to commissioning. Basis for the change are process improvement, operability improvement, reliability improvement, cost reduction and health/safety/environmental.

* Pre-commissioning check on the completed work to ensure the design is to original proposals
* Responsible for discussing any comments or queries arising from the approval issue of the modification package
* P&ID updating
7. Prepares P&ID for HAZOPS and introduces the proposal to HAZOPS committee for Hazard and Operability Study. Takes an active part in HAZOPS proceedings as a process specialist. Acts as secretary to the HAZOPS meetings and action of HAZOPS findings.
