As Specialist Professional Engineer (Training Engineer)/Mechanical Training Instructor supervisor grade C1, C2 in all aspects of Training and Development (capacity and profile building, skill-transfer and counterpart training).

Managing on the job training activities in oil and gas fields in AFPC on a 28/28-day work cycle.

Duties cover providing basic science and technical training courses and hands on training to new trainees at training center at Deir-ez-zoir.

* In addition to the above-mentioned coverage, imparting classroom safety courses on the fields to fresh trainees. Normal duties include:

* Conducting tests and grading trainees' work.
* Creating and maintaining trainees' records including test results, attendance figures and progress reports.
* Preparing required training material
* Assisting in preparing modules
* Sending attendance and progress reports to OTF
* Preparing requisitions for the purchase of equipment, materials and supplies
* Preparing lesson plans and other course materials
* Improving staff competency standards as per company's vision &
Ensuring progress in CAS
* Preparing Nationals to replace contractors

This position includes creating competence development targets for individual staff, imparting technical training courses, field on the job training, monitoring, identifying technicians weakness and assessing progress against competence portfolio and reporting to head of training, assisting the line management to validate quality of training.

Developing graduate engineers, technical diploma holders and other existing staff in all fields within the company- carrying out competence assessments etc.,
AFPC accredited field assessor and competence accreditation panel member of AFPC-CAP since 1997.

As mechanical technician Grade-I, I shouldered the responsibility of troubleshooting the problems and ensuring the smooth running of tank farm, terminal, offshore, Gas distribution system equipments during standby duty (off the duty hours).

Job involved: Mechanical maintenance activities in NGL, terminal, Tank farm, all gas points and offshore maintenance
Carryout planned and preventive maintenance, Major overhaul of the following equipment: Shipping pumps, engines, compressors, oil and gas pipe lines, Tank farm static equipments, mechanical machineries in Terminal, NGL utilities, gas distribution and Launches, Barges offshore systems.
